I have a hard time believing SD's principal will want to appeal. But I guess good luck to the kid on getting it overturned. We get to teach kids that you don't have to be responsible for your actions. Hooorrrrraaaayyyyy!!!!

Too bad Im not gonna make it. My son bought me Washington Wizards tickets a month ago. I told him I never been to NBA game. He bought them for me and the wife not thinking it was state championship day. its gonna be a special day for me regardless cause it will be my 1st NBA game and I have been a fan of Wizards since 91'. Im going to keep up with it on social media though.
May the best team win! Congrats to Richlands for making it to the big show again. Congrats to Goochland and Draft for having a good season and yall wil be back on top soon. Draft definately proved the East isnt as weak as everyone thinks. BELIEVE ME, I am someone that says yall have the goods to give us a good fight. Yall pass and run. The difference in last year and this year is last year, Appo had to earn respect throughout the season. This year, they had it from day 1. Yall have ya chance December 10th to prove everyone wrong just as we had to do last year.

Should be a great atmosphere for the game next Saturday. Might see a snowflake or two.
Why would I be "butt hurt"? LOL. I actually hope the kid gets to play, so both teams can have their best lineups on the field. No excuses for anyone.
Oh I'm here. Getting pumped for a 2nd title. Good job today Goochland but these guys are a special group. What do you mean wizards game? Lol I have been to 1 NBA game and I really didn't like it. Unless it is the playoffs, those guys don't play defense. I would much rather see a NCAA game myself.

im with gator on this though bc if the kid got kicked out of the game then it should be done...no appeals no nothing and he will learn his lesson..but if you go and get it overturned then he will just do it again...he did it to himself so why are we all feeling bad for him? But I think he will play though...if he's that important they will make it happen
Normally the people that get mad with me are the people who believed their team would be competitive with Appo and then when they were blown out of the water, they couldn't handle that someone called it. I only disagreed with BC when he said Asbury was the "best QB in the entire country". Some guy from Parry McCluer just brought up state titles from the 80's, I thought that was pretty stupid as well. Maybe I should just stand by and let people make asinine claims....ehh....who am I kidding, I can't do that!
I am not trying to be ugly but I have to wonder with the Richland player being ejected. I wasn't there or know what happened for sure but it sounds like trash talking got him in trouble. Is this something he has been around throughout the year and got caught doing something he has seen more than a few times? I know when I went to the Richland/Graham game there was a lot of trash talking particularly from Graham that would have gotten flagged around here in central va. For what it is worth I would like to see the kid play as I want the best game possible. I also think there is no place for trash talking. Let your play do the talking.

He wasn't talking trash on the first penalty. He was flagrantly taunting as he was running to the endzone. Waving his finger back towards the guys pursuing him. Did not exactly set the tone of a class act football player.
2nd was legit... Kid head butted the Draft player after the incomplete pass. (I was there)
Well as long as the second one was BS then it's ok....nooo way...he should've been tossed for the taunting heck with a flag, you don't disrespect the game like that...bad part is the coach left him in the game after that and allowed him to get the other penalty. I would've set him the rest of the game after the first flag...best player or not!
Due to friends and my younger sister coming twhome teaches at Goochland I was sort of tied up with them and not able to get out and about. We will get together soon.
I wouldn't have taken him out, but best believe when we got back to Richlands, ol boy would have been running and he wouldn't have stopped until I got tired of watching him run.
Yes. Absolutely. From our stands, you could see that he head butted one of our players. I have no idea what he said to go along with it (if anything). I think he drew the refs attention with his idiotic behavior that led to the first penalty. I'm not sure why he thought he could get away with anything else after that.
Like I said I wasn't there and I'm not trying to dog Richland player. What I am saying and what I did see at the graham game was 3 to 4 graham players not get flagged for blatantly trash talking richlands. I was very disappointed in seeing that. All I'm saying is it happens a lot when players see another player get by with no calls but then they are the ones that unfortunately get caught later. #11 was not that type of guy in the 2 games I saw him. I know Richlands will be prepared next week and I am looking for good game here.

Not surprised though.....Richlands was totally classless from fans, players, and coaches. Players are allowed to act like that because coaches allow it. But I guess you have to be careful not make your players angry as they may decide to "transfer" somewhere else next year.

Can't wait !Looking forward to seeing some of the richlands fans that I met at the graham game , sounds like y'all were in a dog fight today and you came out on top , congrats! Now y'all get to see a different kind of beast and without "11 it will be very difficult! But you did make it to the big dance and anything can happen ! So I think appo and richlands will fill up Salem stadium and it will be wild so good luck to both ! Now we can break it down boys ! Go !
I would have set him and I would have my best player available for the championship game...u gotta have some spine and leadership as a coach...winning isn't everything...I would rather take the loss then have everyone think if your a good enough player you can do what you want and get away with it. Be a role model
What I say was the SD player getting up and pushing him to instigate contact and made me think the penalty was going against SD, so unless he said something which he isn't known to do and coaches near the play said he didn't. This is uncharacteristic of the player which makes it more odd, I still go back to the discrepancy between penaltits.....
I don't think you can question any of that with coach Mance and if you do, you don't know anything about football in SWVA
