I just read the article on Preps about the new head coaches in the SW part of our state, and I realized that the usual annual thread on the Head Coaching Carousal in the greater Richmond area has not been posted this season.

What Head Coach changes are you aware of?

Am I correct about this one? Stoops takes over at Matoaca?

Isn’t Deep Run starting over with a new HC?

Who else?

Mechanicsville new HC - Shane Reynolds, an alumni of the school.
Caroline - Gerard Johnson, former Meadowbrook standout.
Cosby - Josh Wild, former Park View - Sterling HC

There were only a handful of new coaches this season...

Shane Reynolds is new at Mechanicsville, comes from LC Bird where he was coordinator.

Fred Stoots was promoted at Matoaca.

Josh Wild comes to Cosby from Northern Virginia.

Josef Harrison at TJ had the interim tag removed as did Coach Timothy-Jean Pierre at Hermitage.

Mullinax at Deep Run enters his 2nd season.

This has got to be the least number of changes in recent times? (Covid years excluded).
