My eyes were immediately drawn to this:

“You know,” Dixon tells Turner,

...I bet Dixon told him that often.

Wait. So William Perry has more rushing TD's in a super bowl

than Walter Payton. How the heck did he not rush for one in the blowout over the Pats? That's hard to believe.

That's one of the talking points from that Super Bowl that they let the Fridge score instead of Payton.

Ditka still talks about it, and how its one of his biggest coaching regrets...

The Patriots had a target on Walter all game. They really bottled him up that game. Of course the Bears could have punted every possession on first down and still won by 10+ points.

Well to be fair, not that I like to be fair to Ditka

they did think Da Bears were the beginning of a dynasty then, and proably figured there would be many more opportunities for Sweetness. But they never made it back. Still, you make sure the MAN gets a dang TD, especially since there were so many to go around.

Patriots should not have been there but Miami, the only team to beat the Bears that year, got upset in the playoffs.

Fridge was a gimmick, and I understand the play, but you give Sweetness the ball.
