You must really suck as a lawyer. You said he doesn't get into it with fans. That shows he clearly does regardless of the situation.

Ray didn't like someone talking **** to his face about his own team. Coach K didn't like a school storming the court.

You don't think there is a big difference between fans pushing and shoving your players and getting in their faces shouting profanities, and Henderson strutting off the court like a jack ***? Really? In your mind, both situations merit a F-Bomb response?

Also, Im almost positive Henderson said, "This is my mutha ******* state", which is still a ton of **** talking, but it ain't talking about Ray's team.

Not angry. Just laughing at your examples blowing up. You said Coach K wouldn't get rattled. Just linked that he did.

And I still don't fault Ray. If a player talked **** directly to a coach, I don't mind a coach talking back. You see it all the time in football.

I say the f word when I walk outside and it's nice. "What a beautiful effing day!" Just about anything on earth can illicit an F bomb.

You know I really could care less about his basketball skills...

Pretty sure he said "This is my mutha ******* state".

But yeah, its definitely appropriate for a college coach to stoop to Marshall Henderson's level. Totally right call

all I know is that Henderson is a total prick and brings out the worst in most everyone he gets around. Be glad when he is out of college basketball and I would say that no matter WHAT school he plays for.

You are right, it does happen in football. The WSU QB talked **** in the bowl game against CSU and the CSU went back at him and cursed him out.

The CSU coach was suspended. Now Ray won't be suspended, but I bet you if it makes any waves, he will apologize for the outburst.

As for Coach K, I can't think of a single opposing player he has ever dropped an F bomb on. I probably should google first, but off the top of my head I can't remember him telling Rasheed Wallace to **** off.

Marshall Henderson does cause both OM fans and opposing fans to drop F-bombs a lot, I will agree with that.

Rasheed Wallace was actually pretty calm in college if I remember correctly. He went crazy in the pros.

You think that old Auburn guy ever went crazy before? Henderson is the devil's work.

Sheed has always been crazy, here is a quote from a grantland article:

Another time, the team traveled en masse to Durham one Thursday before a showdown with Duke. “They were having a party,” McInnis said. “So we go down there just to be cocky.” Students had already started camping outside the stadium to secure game tickets. “On our way back to the car, it was probably about one in the morning, Rasheed was pulling their tents back up and then when people come out, they’d see Rasheed Wallace going crazy,” McInnis said. “All the people coming out the tents and they basically walked us to our cars, chanting, ‘Let’s go Duke.’ It was just the craziest thing. Rasheed stirred up this whole big thing on campus, pulling people’s tents up.”

I will not let you speak ill of one of my favorite gifs of all time; Its clear that the old man said something negative about Marshall's team, and he was simply standing up for his teammates.

Also, its possible that Marshall thought the old guy was hot since he was wearing that pullover inside, was just trying to cool him off. Marshall is a giver.

If ray catches any heat

He should just say he didn't like how MH and the student section used the N word when talking to our players and he got upset, sorry, I'll be more prepared for their racist hate next time.
Game over.

No, he is not a helluva basketball player, he has a good shot when he is on, and he works hard to get open. Of course when I think of a helluva basketball player I think of Jordan, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Wade, James, etc. and Henderson does not come close to any of them.

Yeah, because UM football coaches haven't gotten into multiple twitter arguments with State fans or anything.*** And I have yet to see Rick Ray arrested for assault/disorderly conduct at a bar while on a team road trip.

Get off your damn high horse. Rick Ray telling Marshall Henderson to "**** off" is nothing compared to the embarrassment that your coaches in basketball and football provide on a yearly basis.

You keep comparing to the colorado state situation. Which f-bomb was fhe coach suspended for?

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Sports/2013/12/27/is the f word the new n word

I don't have a problem with Ray or really any coach saying something to a player when the player is acting like an *** and directly addressing the coach. Should the coach ignore things generally? Probably. But for an *** like Henderson running his mouth, I don't see a big problem with it.

I am at the point where nothing that any of our players or coaches do bothers me as long as it gets under their skin or ruffles their khakis. If Nickoe Whitley hits Wallace as he trying to get up.....great. . If Mullen taunts them with billboards....great. If Ray cusses at a methhead douchebag that taunts him.....great. If Wes Rea takes a big manshit in Biancos hat this year...awesome.

Screw class when it comes to those imbeciles.

Wait a

minute, are you trying to compare what a coach said (words) to a player, to an international incident?

So if you're

on this crusade to right all wrongs involving college coaches...and admit that what freeze did was the same (begrudgingly)...how come you were not on here commenting to no end on the thread calling freeze out, then?

I have no problem with RR saying **** you to Henderson.....surprised he didn't knock the meth heads teeth down his throat. Especially after those racial epithets Henderson was using, it will be a glorious day in the near future when someone smashes his ******* jaw into 100 pieces.

Henderson is a punk and any coach or school that would allow him on their team are idiots.

Henderson is not that good, though.

Kid that grew up down the street has been playing all over the world for 10+ years since graduating from Samford. He's a millionaire a few times over. Wealthy for most mid-thirty types. And he's not half the talent that Henderson is. If Henderson can miraculously stay out of trouble off the court, he will make a lot of money.

I think Mario Austin was paid a mil a year, grossed up for taxes in Russia. But marshal Henderson doesn't bring that much to the table for most European teams to shell out for. White dudes with quick releases and mediocre defense are a dime a dozen. I think for the leagues that would pay good money, all the teams would be too good to be able to stomach his off nights.

Its all irrelevant though bc he's not going to stay out of trouble long enough to determine if he's good enough to get rich in Europe.

Are you 17n Serious?

He must be smart enough not to get caught on camera. Ray hasn't figured that out yet.

When you curse out an opposing player after getting your *** beat by 20, cover your mouth when you drop an F Bomb. Its only common courtesy.

Not really an opposing player - just friendly fire.**

Unless we play UOM in the SEC tourney or very unlikely in the NIT then I'd say we dodged a big bullet here with Marshall. Eventually a team/fan/coach/cheerleader/mascot/living human is going to physically attack Marshall. If all that we did was say "17 you" well then I consider MSU very well behaved. There's much worse outcomes that will eventually happen to Henderson. I'm just glad MSU won't be connected with them now.

Maybe if more people said "17 You" to Henderson instead of being enablers for his lifestyle. This should be a prime example to parents of recruits that Ole Miss will use and abuse your kid if they can gain from it. Everyone at Ole Miss is aware of his issues, but as long as he keeps scoring points, all is good. I am going to say I don't have a problem with anything Ray may have said. Everyone knows Henderson is a crack head that runs his mouth. Ray was probably caught off guard because he is accustomed to players being respectful of coaches and not being allowed to run around like inmates.

It is never appropriate for a coach

to say f*** you to an opposing player. Likewise it was inappropriate and unprofessional for Freeze to interect with that fan after the aTm game. Finally, AK cannot be defended for the international altercation. You're all kind of right - just blinded by fandom if you think it's okay to say f*** you to an opposing player. Every AD in the country would probably agree with me.
