I love Rick Ray and I was a Stansbury fan. Ray just seems like a a guy that I would like to hang out with.

I agree. I think my favorite part of that video is that he had to bring someone in to film it for him. He took time out of his day just to make a little humor for the twitter world. Good stuff.

And Staley is a 4-star recruit listed as the No. 17 forward in the country. He's not a nobody.

Exactly. Some people amaze me. Apparently Rick Ray can't smile or consider anything a positive until he is in the NCAA tourney.

Im glad that he is enjoying getting a few croots, and I hope it keeps him driven to get even more. I also like that he is on social media and he has a sense of humor. Keep it up Rick

Exactly. Damn people. He has landed 3 recruits this week that he and his staff like and think will help our program. He is also a big movie guy and Coming to America is a great movie. And he prettying nailed it. Give it up for Mr Randy Watson!

Hell, yeah he's awesome. He will recruit well--book it. We'll be a different team this year, and should finish in the upper half of the conference. Next year we will make the NCAA tournament. The year after that, Ray goes to the Sweet 16, but with a different team because we ran him off bitching about his coaching, when he had basically zero control over the collapse of the team.

Both DeRunnya and Staley are playing basketball for MSU and they both seem to be pretty good. Staley is a 4* basketball recruit with offers from Georgetown, Florida State, Miami and a bunch others. DeRunnya is Mr. Basketball and Player of the Year for basketball in Alabama for 2013. He's playing basketball here. Dante Scott looks like a great get for Ray. Watch his ranking rise over the next two years. Nice week Rick Ray and I laughed at the "Coming to America" video. Thanks Cadaver.

I used to think Ray was too much of a normal dude

to be a great coach. Talking about movies on twitter and ****. Now I'm sort of digging his every man attitude - especially after coming into an awful situation in basketball and giving the realistic fans a team to be proud of.

I do too. Given time, I think he will do well. He's the kind of guy kids should want to play for. I thought he did a great job getting the most out of what he had to work with last year. Recruiting will obviously tell the tale.

How can anyone not like this coach? He is contemporary, players like him, and he's a hard *** too. Very good coaching job last year and this coming year they actually have enough to scrimmage! I like the up tempo style of play too.
