Win or lose, this game should convince everyone who doesn't have an agenda.

I think this shows that if we had the depth, Ray would dial up the pressure

all game and despite our lack of talent, we'd be much much better, even this year. Depth is the killer.

What? I sincerely hope that Ray is an awesome coach, but this loss to a bad Providence team is supposed to convince me that Ray is better than the coach that won us our only SEC championship in any sport in the last 20 years?

What "genda"? I've seen this mentioned a few times.

Is it that people who criticize want Stans back?

I'm criticizing, but am unaware of an agenda, and don't have one, but "no comment" is no fun way to watch sports.

It's over with already? I thought we were giving the guy some time?

Statements like this are what opens you up to criticism. You are anointing a guy as better before he even finishes coaching 20 games. He very well may be, but it is totally absurd to make a statement like that until he has some time to prove what he can do. He may obliterate what Stan did and he may even make YOU want Stan back by the time we really know how he is going to do as MSU coach.

Give it a rest dude. His team did an awesome job today. Defense will put you in more games that any genius offensive scheme.

We hit just a normal % of our 3pt attempts, we win that one. What were we 0 for 20?

^^This^^

I get that we have zero talent, but can you really say Stans would be doing worse with this team? Personally I haven't seen enough to be convinced. If we were actually winning these games then I would, but losing by 20 most of a game vs a team that is virtually on the same level depth wise doesn't convince me of that at all.

Be careful with this argument... cause Stansbury's teams were of the same mold when it came to 3 point shots. The difference, though, is that Rick Ray's takes 3's when they're given. Stansbury's team took them when they weren't necessary or when they didn't know what to do.

Providence would win at least 11 conference games if they played in the SEC.

If he gets all he can out of what he has that's good enough for me.

I can't make you see it- I can only point out that it's there

Could that be that the prima donnas who thought they were God's gift to basketball are gone, and the ones we have now want to play?

Why should it matter?
For 20 years, Stans gave us above average results, for an MSU coach anyway.
Ray's team 7 games in seem to give good effort
Comparing the 2 at this point is pointless.

Did you watch the game today? We threw up a number of ill advised 3's. Rick Ray would tell you so. You might take your own advice about being careful with the argument! Give Ray a chance. He may be the coach you hope he is. Time will tell. It is much to early to declare him superior to any head coach in division 1.
