Right now, plain and simple, we just don't have enough guys that can make shots...
We are not shooting well, I agree but we are not taking many quality shots. I don't count shooting the 3 as a quality shot.
We have many problems but our main problem is that we have no movement or decent plays on offense that sets up quality shots.
Watch all the games we have played and if we are not draining the 3, or playing someone that is pretty weak at D in the paint, we are in trouble.
We play our best, and always have under stans, when we stretch the floor and hustle down in a fast break type offense. If we allow a team to get back on defense and we set up to run a play, we are more than likely screwed.
I have zero confidence in us making anything but a 3 if we actually slow it down and attempt to run a play. All of our plays revolve around high screens and nothing is drawn up to get us open under the basket where the high quality shots are.
Are other problem is the lack of hustle. The effort we give throughout the game is great at times but it should be great the entire game and it is not. Vandy is a damn fine team but we have the talent to win these games, we just don't have the staff in place to utilize our talent or motivate them to actually give the effort required.
