Riley should of kicked Lewis off the team and drawn a line in the sand.

But he didn't and we're paying the price. He's got some tough decisions to make this off season. The seniors will graduate and the Juniors and redshirt Sophomores will need a very hard look at. This team isn't Riley's and they play like it.

Stop with the excuses. Makes you the exact same as bloners. Bad football, bad coaching, players playing like victims. It's simply bad.

Just shut up rover. Your wishful thinking and excuse making is getting old. Psychology doesn't make us 3-6 with a loss to 1 win purdont. You really think these players want to lose since they can't play for Bo? Get over it, Bo is gone and more kids than you think are glad about that.

Sorry but I don't see how keeping Lewis is somehow connected to our lack of effort. Nor can I see how kicking Lewis off the team would've changed the pathetic performance (effort) we saw today.

The mentality that this is still Bo's team needs to happen like now! Riley tried to soft play it and it bit him in the butt.

EXACTLY. And when he didn't is when I said I knew that Riley was not the man to lead this program. He very well might be more clueless than Peelini. That is saying a lot.

This is not going to end well. And it will end. It is just a matter of how quickly. At this rate, I am not sure he deserves to make it until the end of next season if it looks like this again next year. 56 points to Purdue should probably get you damn near fired this season alone.

This is not a flame.....I actually want to see Archie's response to this one. You at least have to have at least a little doubt creep in that this staff can get it done........

Riley just might not understand the fight he has on his hands??? Collins came out and told the world Kaz is talking to him and Riley went all Mr Rogers.

Riley brought a knife to a gunfight against Bo and his guys. He better figure this out fast or he's gonna get eaten alive.

Why??? I was one of the few who saw Bo as the toxic coach that he was. Now you have

Ok. So now what?
Wait out the storm. People will demand their pound of flesh. It is Nebraska after all. They "deserve" to be satisfied

Nebraska fans deserve better than 3-6, soon to be 3-9.

We were told so by Eichorst.

We aren't competing for championships.

We are competing to not be last in the B1G.

Do you think that's what Ginger had in mind when he hired a .500 record, 30-year head coach?

No. Do you think this board is going to help anything right now? You idiots can't even see past the end of your nose. The hole will keep growing deeper and deeper for the next guy, if you get your wish

So it can get worse than 3-9 at Nebraska? That's what you're saying?

Thanks, I'm willing to risk it.

Because every day Nebraska fans accept this coaching staff is another day we regress and set ourselves back further.

Ned Yost had guys who wanted to play for him, Al Golden didn't.

If you have ever coached and you still think players wanting to play for you or not play for you is irrelevant, I hope you don't coach anymore.

Fractured team mentally
Injuries to the two deep roster
Fractured fan base
Average talent at best, depth wise well below Nebraska standards of the past
Philosophy that isn't traditional Nebraska (Osborne-Devaney)

Individually can be over come but taken as a whole, this is what Nebraska football is right now. Each area needs to be fixed and the other areas will get better more easily.

Better talent that stays healthy with a more physical mentality that is loyal to the school will better unite the fans. Lot easier said then done but the effort must happen.

What makes you think 3-4 years from now Riley will have a group that wants to play for him?

Nebraska might be criticized for firing a coach who is 9-4, but they'd never be for firing a coach who is 3-9. Even in the first year. That is totally unacceptable for a place like Nebraska with the crazy resources we have. Some of the best facilities, fan support, and history, and nothing to show for it.

Not sure if he will other than many former players have talked about him on very positive ways. And yes our former coach does too but Riley does not do it from a position of us against the world. I do think he will have player who better fit his system and that will also likely help in getting the program toward where the fans, real and fair weather alike, more happy.

Lewis saved a TD on the attempted one hand recovery by Fyfe

Yep. One of the best hustle plays of the day. That, and Westercamp's late touchdown. It's not often you see a 300# man diving at ankles to save a touchdown. It hurts.

Folks want to boot a player because he insults the fans. Grow some skin. Some of us absolutely deserve to be insulted because some of us are f'n idiots. Lewis is the best tackle we have and if 2nd and 3rd place are Gates and Sterup, I shudder to think how #4 would play. Lewis didn't lose this game. His attitude didn't lose this game. His fondness for Bo, if there is any, didn't lose this game. Stop grasping at straws.
