Old Richard Pryor joke about Foreman: “George has a unique style, NONE. ‘Which one of those MFs is the referee, cause I’m gonna kill the other one.’“ That wasn’t George, but it about summed up his style. He was a bull in the ring.

Watched him punch Tommy Gunn in the forehead eleventy seven times without an attempt to block. He was an excellent boxer even in his latter years.

He owns property next to mine where they train chariot style racing horses. Met him once a few years ago. Super nice and humble. Would have never known he was a someone rich or great, if i didn’t just know who he was. Sad day

At one time, George Foreman was the baddest man on earth. He was Mike Tyson before there was a Mike Tyson.

That he became one of the most lovable sports figures in history is a great story.
