I'm starting to think that the business yesterday was just a well placed leak to cover the asses of the guys in charge.

Basically, they throw out a bunch of high profile names. Say that we expressed interest and were willing to pay, but those guys were just not interested, or werent leaving their current job, then the fans arent so angry over getting a lower tier guy because at least we were willing to spend the money, there just werent that many candidates out there worth that kind of money.

How about 2 current Ohio coaches then If they're so enamored by Ash, make Ash the HC and how about Cincy OC Eddie Gran as our OC. That seems like a solid combo.

I've said that and if we don't see that money manifest itself in the staff then I'm more inclined to believe it was all orchestrated BS. The money doesn't have to show up in the HC position, it can just as easily show up in the coordinator and staff positions. Do what Clemson did for Dabo with 1M coordinators then I'll believe it wasn't BS yesterday.

I'm guessing that Richt is Miami's choice since they didn't announce today. Richt is talking to Virginia so he may be weighing the Miami job vs the Virginia job. He can probably pick whatever job he wants down South.

I saw that as well...but surprised to see that Rivals changed the list to include his name. Must be based on something... or at least one would hope.

I completely agree about yesterday being an intentional leak if they hire Golden, who they were said to have wanted all along, and don't pay up for a bigtime staff.

Babes looks good to me. Tons of experience and success at two different schools as HC. Beat Maryland, Purdue, and Western Michigan this year and in the title game against Northern Illinois. High powered offense.

Is the Syracuse rumour confirmed? Babers sure looks good to me.
