Good God, I just clicked this link for some reason. That board is off it's rocker. The whole thread is right from the test board.
I really hope the two boards don't merge.

I did the same thing just to see if they knew anything. Big mistake, it was test board central with “Jerry” playing the victim again and a bash Tom thread. Please God, build a wall to keep them out. I will pay for it.

This is an extremely chill board. I have to think that a significant factor in this being so is the absence of a Test Board. @Nitt1300 called this at the beginning. I myself thought the absence of a Test Board would result in more vitriol on this board, another swing and a miss by yours truly.

If it wasn't for BoT drama (which is the "politics" of higher ed) and the on-going competition between the Franklin-bashers and those who mock anyone who dares question any coaching decisions (the "politics" of football), we'd be completely chill. Especially if we could dial in laKa's medication.

I still skim the thread titles on the other board once or twice a month. I prefer this board because the lower volume of posters means a lower number of fanatics. Although, I have pretty much given up on the in game threads here as well. I’ve never felt like I missed out on any important bit of info by focusing on the lesser used board. Once the merger happens, I might just stick to inane threads like EPL, Weekend Jukebox, Running Threads for Jokes, etc.

I do wonder what will happen with folks like me that use the same moniker & login email for both boards. I fear it might be like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters.

I’m curious as to the ‘business’ of BWI and how it relates to On3; Phil sold BWI to Coman Publishing in 2021. Sean Fitz is listed as ‘publisher’ of BWI today (assume that was part of his deal when he left 247). Does On3 provide the platform for BWI for a fee? How is Fitz ‘publisher’ if Coman Publishing is the owner? Buying the competition is typically a good way to stay on top; very curious as to how this will work out.

Neither Board is as good as the old combined Rivals Board.

The guys running the Lions Den pay site on this Board do a good job. If I ever come to On3, it’s usually to read their info and insight if there’s something I’m curious about. Other than that, without a “Test” Board, this sight is BORING.

The other site has definitely gone down hill too. Their “Lions Den” isn’t nearly as good as this one. The guys here do a much better job with this “Lions Den” if you want to pay for your info. However, the other site has more and better “free” info, and the additional hook, they also have a “Test Board”. Unfortunately, they make you have to pay for the their Test Board (Current Events Board), which in effect dummies it down to a bunch of rich guys arguing with each other. The old FREE Test Board was exponentially better and more fun because it was a true free for all. One of the few places on the Web where all parties, demographics, and political views were welcome, and censorship was at a minimum.

in effect, since the split, both sites have become boring, just like College Football itself has regressed into nothing more than a boring bunch of mercenaries that are here today, and gone tomorrow.

Anyone else ever wonder how much of all that money going into all of these NIL Cooperatives used to be donated towards things like science and research? I mean we ARE talking about “College/University” fielded football teams, right???

Couple of things, the bigger universities programs do generate money for the school as it is already. The other thing is NIL donors are still allowed to donate money to where they want their money to go so if someone cannot stand football or the NIL$$$ setup they still have avenues to donate money to the schools/research. I think the library at one point in time had a decent donor... hell he may have even been tied to football somehow and he still managed to donate those $$$'s where he wanted them to go.

The funny thing is people still pretending it's a college sport....it's a paid semi-pro team now. It has been for decades for a ton of schools, but now it's legal....wink, wink.

Although this doesn't directly concern me, as I don't have subscriptions to either site ... is this guy saying that, if you currently have a subscription to one or the other site, starting July 1st you'll have access to both site's premium content ... and if you are currently paying for both site's premium content via subscription, after July 1st you'll be getting access to the same info as those currently paying for one site, but you'll continue to be charged for both sites?

Do young people even care about this stuff? When was the last time someone under 30 joined this board and participated the way us Gen X and Boomers do? Can’t imagine they would pay for recruiting info either.

So, that board will either cease to exist, stay independent or merge with someone else, and this grouping of boards will be the only ones on the merged site? Correct?
