Roanoke Rapids @ East Duplin

Have seen both teams. IMO East Duplin is playing at a different speed than Roanoke Rapids. Both teams have programs to be proud of with solid head coaches. I say East Duplin takes this one by 3 tds. Roanoke has a solid team but East is very good.
RR only loss is to a very good Bunn team. And it was a game. 28-17... I'm confident they haven't seen a defense like ours but they're 11-1 for a reason.

RR from the very slight knowledge I have been able to get
Defense. Appear to be well coached and stick to assignments speed decent size good (not huge ) they are familiar with wingt offense and play well against it
Offense. dotted I and some spread looks Block well on the line delay handoffs good and allow play to develop pass decent can be very balanced speed is averge
Special teams. Kicker is capable they do onside and pooch,squib again well coached and stick to coverage fg kicker is capable of doing his job if they are in range (not sure what max is) they will be able to score
This is not from stats just limited game footage mostly first of the season not in the last few weeks also not against teams of ED caliber

ED is a monster. If they have not seen competition their caliber. It could and most likely will be a long night. The panthers are just that good. I saw them play myself. They only got better as the season went on.
Ed is very strong this year but games like this past Friday can cause problems sometimes worse than a bad loss hopefully they stay focused and play to their potential
RR may have played a game or two with top teams their only loss is still playing bunn I personally don't know how good they are they will be tested this Friday and I feel they will not pass ns seems to be more inspired since meeting ed. They also have a close win against south granville who will be taken out this Friday (imo) by Clinton. Again please refer to early disclaimer. Lol

incheswin, I think you make a good point it ED isn't very careful their biggest problem may be last Friday's game against Graham. They need to forget that, everybody beat Graham badly. As I'm sure they know Roanoke Rapids will be a whole different ballgame. If ED keeps their egos in check and play like they did against a ECC opponent like Northside they best RR by 14, but if they think it's going to be easy it's going to be a long night. Personally I think they'll be ready to play their game.

those words are appreciated but i wouldnt call us a "monster" lol. i do think we have a good team however.
we were very sloppy. several fumbles and a lot of penalties. hopefully we got the "bad game" out of our system and play a lot better going forward. all of that being said, Roanoke Rapids has a decent team, but we beat them pretty soundly despite our sloppy play. i think things will be a lot tougher next week against Hertfird County.
