As of now it is still posted on the wkyk website as being played....but if this rain keeps up I would not be surprised if it is cancelled.

Just read on twitter they have moved the game to Madison Highschool with kickoff at 6pm.
When the average age of a starter on jvs is 17 it’s pretty easy to squeak out wins.
It ain’t gonna matter. You keep running that mouth and even if you get past mitchell, come playoffs, you gonna run into a buzzsaw. You won’t dominate this year buddy.

Robbinsville has a really good RB that play with a broke wrist week 1. He had 200+ in 3 Quarters of play. Probably been closer with him but about what I suspected.

Would like to see our guys play MH. Sounds like it would be a good one.
I will makes some predictions after seeing both line ups and weight classes. Avery still has the edge but should be closer than last year.
Are you guys going to stick with the JH setup in the future for conference? I like the idea of champions from Western Highland and SMC playing a game at the end of the season.
SMC has only 6 games.

I think DPI middle school/JH rules allow for 7 regular season and one post season game. Would be neat if everybody played a game from the other conference to end the year. 1 v. 1, 2 v 2, etc.
I personally don't like the new setup , I rather go back the old way with 2 middle schools. Now 6 and 7 grades are playing youth league being coach by parents playing daddy ball, its already hurting yancey county lot good 5 grade athletes have gave up
It has its down side but if your a small school like Rosman, Andrews, Cherokee, Robbinsville it's a must.
Actually mitchell county is doing much better with their youth league, they are playing the games to teach kids fundamentals and letting the kids play, not really caring about winning games , yancey Is the opposite running off kids, lot times some kids mature late they get bad taste in the mouth that's it, then your varsity program pays for it.
You were also missing the sophomore running back that started on varsity last year.
I’ve been to most of the youth league games this season. Looks like Yancey and Mitchell both are doing a great job with their youth programs. Yancey has a young former player from the last couple years calling plays on offense and working with the boys. Didn’t see any “daddy ball”. To each their own I guess.
I’ll say this, the daddy coaching the 6th-7th team if he wanted could call the plays and give it to his kid every time for positive yards. But he is letting a young coach call the plays and spread the ball around. Good coaching in my opinion.

Man I’m trying to be nice cause you played with my kid but they are being taught right. I’ve not saw you at a single game so to each their own opinion but I can say with complete confidence they are being coached and taught well. I’m done on this conversation.
