What week do we play Erwin? Does this replace the Christ school game? Thoughts , can my knights compete? Score ?
Robbinsville vs Erwin

Week 3 at Erwin. Yes it replaced the CS game. I think we can score some. Not sure we can stop Erwin much.
I like this pick-up for Robbinsville. Erwin always seems to have good speed. A good test for them before conference.
I like it a lot better than Shelby. Not saying Rville wins this game but they should compete well and could win it. Shelby on the other hand would have been a disaster.
I think Erwin will win, but it will be very close. You can't count out any SMC teams. They always seem to play everyone tough. I know Swain was always a question mark on our schedule.
I'm not sure there is anyone other than maybe coach Robinson out at Mountain Heritage who gets more out of their players than coach Walsh. They are highly competitive every single year.
Rville has a decent/pretty good chance at a win imo...If it was at big oaks Id call it a complete toss up.....If Murphy works em over in the scrimmage I reserve the right to change my pick to the Knights lol........

I was told Reynolds also then someone else said Reynolds would be here Thursday . Just have to wait and see.
Erwins big RB transferred. I dont know if the Warriors will have an answer for Rylie, this one could turn into a "whoever gets to 30 first" sort of game. I dont think Rville's defense will be able to slow Erwin down much. Should be a competitive game! Mitchell opens the season @ Erwin, so stay tuned.
Bk please define ok. Is a loss but keeping it close ok ? Heck no ! Go to win or stay at home , we really need to win that game to set the bar. A win at Erwin will earn some respect and give our kids some confidence as we hit our conference schedule! I consider every Friday night a “ must win “.
Ok thanks. I’m gonna agree with you. I think if we beat SM we beat Erwin. I dont have a good explanation for thinking that way. People on this board think the people from Graham co have a strange way of thinking so be it. With our non conference schedule we can hope for .500 and injury free. Quarter back play is going to be big for us. If we can run run run and keep him out of 3rd and long we will be a handful for anyone. What I’ve been told Collins is doing great and has stepped up to lead the offense.
- Should be a fun game. Erwin lost a 3 yr qb and one of the best receivers in WNC but return a bunch of big skill players. They have a a sophomore qb who is very talented but he's a soph so he has learning to do. The jv team was conference champs last year so hopefully that spills over to varsity. Losing our starting rb weeks before the season to rival Reynolds just sucks. Who knows through Erwin dominated Shelby, Hendo, and Burns in a 7on 7 last week so I am optimistic but I also know that dosen't mean much other than you can pass the ball well. As for Robbinsville I have no doubt they will be a handful. I have a lot of respect for their history and grittiness. They are the epitome of small town football. See you in a few weeks fellas.
I agree if Robbinsville beats SM, then they beat Erwin. Both of these games should be good but I think the Knights have a better shot at beating Erwin than Smoky. Just my opinion. Pretty tough non-conference schedule.
Even if SM is better than Erwin it doesnt mean we will beat Erwin just because we beat SM. Match ups change things. Im ready for some football.
Gonna be one of the biggest opening nights for the SMC in a long time with Robbinsville/Smoky Mountain and Murphy/Pisgah being headliners.....

Erwin beat shelby 4-0. Hendo 3-1 and Burns 4-1. That's from the the offical score card. Go get your confirmation though if you need it.
