............he appears to be very timid and almost scared to hit a hole with any kind of aggression. I don't see how he is helping us with the exception of giving Dixon a rest.

if he's 100% or not. I'm hoping that he's not. I don't think he has played that poorly, but if he was our featured back, we would be in trouble.

I'm not too worried regardless because of Conner, Perkins, Ballard, and Henry coming in. We'll have options.

and Rashod Henry. I feel horrible for what happened to Robert Elliot last year, but the fact of the matter right now is that he is not our future at the RB position. At this point. I really don't know what you do with him. His current lack of speed and acceleration make him a liability at both RB and a safety position. However, he's not big enough to even think about much else like a fullback spot. I really don't know at this point.

I see him around campus and he is built like a brick house. And he runs under a 4.4 I can't wait to see him play next year, because he is definitely the type of speed back Mullen can implement into his offense. Him and Montrell Conner should a great 1-2 punch in the future.

To recover to 100% from ACL injuries. Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, Jamal Lewis, and Edge James all took a year after returning to the NFL to even approach their previous numbers. If he's not at full speed by August next year, then I'd start to worry.

we're actually redshirting talented players while competing at the same time?

I also like that for the first time I feel that we will have the necessary talent to be able to compete in every game we play. We will have playmakers all over the field. Perkins, Ballard, Henry, Conner, Berry, Bumphis, Heavens, hopefully Ricco Sanders, Bolden, and Rajion Neal. That's a ton of talent that we will have acquired in just 2 years of Mullen recruiting. That makes me feel great about the future.

I keep hearing everyone saying that his speed is still there while running sprints. I will say that he is either timid or just does not have his cutting ability back yet and I hope that it yet.

On one play vs GT, he gets out on the corner and runs by a few defenders. Up to that point, I was saying he has lost his speed. However, after seeing that play (I know one play), I think he still has it.

It seems to me that when he carriers the ball. He is just trying not to turn it over. You will see him carry the ball with both arms on occassion. Which, obviously, causes him to slow down.

I hold judgement on Elliot. I have seen flashes of a really good back when he has been in there during a game. This past weekend, they gave the ball to him 4 times in a row with 2:00 minutes left on the clock. MTSU had 10 in the box. Hard to judge and say he lost it when running against that. Look at what he has done during games when it is in the flow of the game and he has been pretty good. Barring injury, another spring and summer of healthy running and rehab, he could be really special. However, I don't think he will ever be a 25 carry a game back. I see a guy who gets about 7-10 touches a game and will line up in multiple positions next year.
