…..ever wonder why he did the training necessary for him only in the last movie? He was a puncher. Why was he doing all this endurance shlt for the first 5 movies? He should have been doing heavy incline/squat/cleans in the 70s.

He became a different type of boxer because in Rocky II it turned out he had a serious head injury from his first fight with Apollo in Rocky I. So, he had to change the way he boxed. He could not be a slugger anymore. He had to learn to move around and box not stand still and fight.

He was 100% a slugger in Rocky II, just found right handed to protect the eye. Then he turned into more of a mover/shaker in III because Clubber was even more of a slugger than him. Obviously the Russian was too.

But the point was all the damn exercising he did, tons of pushups, running, etc. He should have just been lifting weights and doing power moves like he did in the last movie.

Outside the Rocky III fights, none were quick knockouts? Back in those days championship fights were 15 rounds. Had to be conditioned to go the distance. Plus even though he was a slugger, he was still small for a heavyweight and outsized in every fight except for the ham and eggers they led up to Clubber 1.

and in the last movie he was old, so pointless to chase speed and endurance at that point.

You know.... I've reran all of the calculations and it was actually 85 mph that Doc's Delorian had to reach. The speedo on his car was just off.
You ever wondered if, when you crossed time, the area you were suddenly transported to was not the exact same as before?

For example, he was riding through the mall parking lot when he went back to 1955, was the terrain the exact same?

This risk is minimized when you're in the air, but maybe, just maybe, you hit a bird at the exact minute you move through time? Is the bird automatically in the car with you? Does the space time continuum just self destruct?

That was the Creed effect. He needed to learn to be graceful to deal with Lang's quickness/power combo. If he just tried to slug with him, he would've gotten his arse kicked. The speed/endurance training enabled him to tire Lang (and the russian) out and eventually win the matches. You're overthinking it.

Yet he won the match in 3 rounds, and his punching power is what did Clubber in. And vs. the Russian got his head beat in beyond death.

Make it make sense. Not to mention you can't just turn yourself into a more quicker version of yourself. You got it or you don't.
