Wow, so in your view a person is either a fan who teeters on the edge of hypocrisy and childish pouting, or they are emotionally removed from the events surrounding the teams they follow?

Or maybe there is a level middle ground?

I think it sucks that Hood left. I think it sucks because i liked his skills and his attitude on the court. I think it sucks because he could have helped make MSU a lot better than we will be next season.
But just because i think this sucks for MSU doesnt mean i have to want for him to fail. I mean seriously, you are actively hoping for a 19yo to fail just because they chose to leave the school you root for. Get some perspective. He left in good academic standing. He played out the year and hustled in every game.
If he had screwed the team over by leaving mid-year, i could see people hoping that Karma hits him. If he had left the team in bad academic standing, that too could justify some sort of discussion about hoping he grows the F up and learns accountability.

But Hood played hard and left in good standing.

I just find the vitriol directed at him to be part funny(in a sad way) and part pathetic.
You actually hope the guy fails? Seriously? Why? Just because he chose to no longer attend MSU, you hope he fails. And this is objectivity to you?

I always want MSU to win. But I also try to refrain from the chilsish **** games and double standards that many fans(you clearly being one) fall into. You know, the dumb games where you are in a glass house and throw stones at others?
If i were to hope a player fails based on the fact that they left a program early and transfer, then i must hope all players fail who leave a program early. That would apply to players that MSU gains too. Otherwise, i am just being an inconsistent emotional child.
