Amazing what they have done with 3 star recruits, playing for a spot in the playoffs.
Player development and coaching > recruitment ranking.

They play hard nose football on both sides of the ball. Nothing fancy. It works and shows.

Was thinking the same thing watching the game. Just a lot more physical brand of football than what we play.

Not only that but every player has high football iq for Iowa. And their offensive lineman are big ole country boys that look like they are bred on a farm.

I am as well. Looks like their luck is running out though unless they find some offense.

Hard to dislike either of these programs. MSU under Dantonio reminds me of us under Brooks ... but with better recruiting.

Plenty time to get into field goal range for the Hawkeyes.
Just not sure they can run a hurry up offense well.

That was a crazy ending. UNC just got robbed against Clemson. Crooked ACC officials were getting worried they might end up out of the playoff.

Very impressed with Iowa. They deserve to go to the Rose Bowl, but I'll bet they choose Ohio State over them.

I live in Iowa City & can't stand the Hawkeyes, but they are a solid team. Not many mistakes and they always have good line play. They usually have offensive linemen go in the draft.

For most of his head coaching career, Kirk Ferentz has played conservative field position football. Always stays within striking distance. I wish UK had a little of that.
