State fans put their own personal failures/insecurities on the program. Bo followed it up by saying, "for OM fans the glass is half full, for State fans the glass is empty."
Yeah, its just entertainment and affinity for the college I attended.

To me, the bigger difference in my circle is that Ole Miss fans put their identity into Ole Miss and State fans are just State fans. I laughed yesterday at Matt Mitchells portrayal of us in Roll Call - "Season's over, I'm going hunting." That's our fans mentality and I love it.

Ole Miss fans are more involved with Ole Miss. They do things with their fraternity/sorority alumni chapters, they have condos in Oxford - and while some State fans have that mentality, the majority don't. The wealthiest Mississippi State alums I personally know don't even attend football games.

I had lunch with a Ole Miss friend who has three kids that attended Ole Miss as well. He's about to retire to Oxford. "It's a place my kids will always visit me!" he said. That's why football success is so important to them - for many Ole Miss is their life.

I know I say a lot of $h1t on here but this is why.

It blows my mind how some of the people on here can wake up and just be mad at the world every damn day.

life is way better when you aren’t a giant pu$$i
I can't speak for most people, but I don't get mad at the world. I'm a generally happy guy. I do get pretty pissy when the university I love and give a crap ton more money than I should to is run into the ground… If we continue to employ coaches who exhibit shocking levels of incompetence , yeah, I'm gonna get pissy at that. And I don't really care who doesn't like it. They can all go root for Ole Miss as far as I care. I will never apologize for demanding the best for Mississippi state

One program has had multiple 10 win seasons the other other has has had like 4 sec wins in three years. It's not even closely the same.

Not mad at the world, just the sad state of msu football but I don't get on here and talk about life but this is state message board. I feel like you get on here and project a lot calling other dudes pussies and going after people who have complaints about coaches or the program or anything. get enough at home?

Demanding the best is one thing. Acting like a juvenile child is another.

of course you're gonna get some of that. The word fan is short for fanatic. But the people on the other side criticizing them and saying everything is fine are just as bad.

but I give plenty… And at some point, you don't want to keep throwing good money after bad

I wish I could be like most State fans then. Damn my father for making me obsessed 35 years ago.

this....and this is no exaggeration.....they send their kids to school here, and then they retire in oxford....it has become an enormous trend in oxford....my new next door neighbor sent his kids to UM, and he 'retired' here from Colorado....yes, i live here and this is spot on.

Ole MIss glass isn't half full today. It is full of the lane hate and have another bottle to fill it up when it gets empty.
And then there are those MSU ”fans” who are totally obsessed with what Ole Miss fans are drinking from. ^^^^

Is this to say it’s not that the football program is 2-22 in SEC play, it’s just that the fan base it
s a bunch of losers ?
Yep. I thought it was a pretty idiotic thing to say on the radio. He earns a living passing information to those State fans he said puts its failures on State.
