You must be obsessed on Miss State juice. You spend a lot of time on this board. And then there are those MSU ”fans” who are totally obsessed with what Ole Miss fans are drinking from. ^^^^

Ol' rosie is a preachy SOG. Kinda annoying.State fans put their own personal failures/insecurities on the program. Bo followed it up by saying, "for OM fans the glass is half full, for State fans the glass is empty."
When I was a young engineer just out of college, I was in an environment with like engineers from all over the country. An Oklahoma grad and I were having a conversation about football and both of us used the word "we" when we talked about our school's team. A Purdue grad said were you guys on the team and we both said no. He said why then do you say "we" when referring to the team? I said because it is Ole Miss and we are Ole Miss. The OU guy agreed, but the Purdue guy never understood!Yeah, its just entertainment and affinity for the college I attended.
To me, the bigger difference in my circle is that Ole Miss fans put their identity into Ole Miss and State fans are just State fans. I laughed yesterday at Matt Mitchells portrayal of us in Roll Call - "Season's over, I'm going hunting." That's our fans mentality and I love it.
Ole Miss fans are more involved with Ole Miss. They do things with their fraternity/sorority alumni chapters, they have condos in Oxford - and while some State fans have that mentality, the majority don't. The wealthiest Mississippi State alums I personally know don't even attend football games.
I had lunch with a Ole Miss friend who has three kids that attended Ole Miss as well. He's about to retire to Oxford. "It's a place my kids will always visit me!" he said. That's why football success is so important to them - for many Ole Miss is their life.
Good story. Mississippi State is a lot like that, but because we are so close to Alabama and Ole Miss, their mentality sheds on some of our fans so we aren't completely like that. When I was a young engineer just out of college, I was in an environment with like engineers from all over the country. I can guarantee you that most married guys "get more" than you do, unless you're out there slaying 1-2 times/week. If I'm wrong, you're quite the outlier.I get more than most b/c i'm not married.
Look at the people i respond to and call Pu$$ies. News flash. They are.
At UMMC, every medical school class from the 1980's through the 2000's the college with the most graduates in that class was MSU. Not a majority, but a strong plurality went to MSU. I lost track so I don't know about today. Sorry, but unless it has changed, and I doubt that it has, what you are repeating when it comes to Medicine is Ole Miss spin. This just another way MSU administration has not countered the UM spin machine. There is also an underlying cause to some of this that I've mentioned before. Look at the average (I'm saying average because of course there are outliers on each side) alumni of the schools.
- We have a lot of people who study to be engineers, architects, farmers, insurance, construction, vets, etc.
- olemiss has a lot of people who go on to be doctors and lawyers.
- the mindsets of the people mentioned above are not really the same (on average.)
Not to mention med students never have to set foot on the oxford campus. At UMMC, every medical school class from the 1980's through the 2000's the college with the most graduates in that class was MSU. Not a majority, but a strong plurality went to MSU. I lost track so I don't know about today. Lawyers, maybe so. Lawyers do lie a lot.
Edited to add: This information is not easy to find. You can bet UM does not let it out if MSU is still ahead. If THEY were, it would be front page news.
Thoroughly pounded sand."And when there was no crawdad, we ate sand."
No, on the front of our pants**Just a wet spot on the ground huh?
