Would be nice to see Auburn win some games and stay inside the top 50

Win or lose at Arky.....and the RPI will go up.
Dont know about getting swept but 1 win and we will move up but we need our resume to look as good as possible bc 4-0 against NA and Mizzou may move us backwards. And odds are most teams lose as many as they win or worse in Hoover.

SC and Georgia are ahead of us in the pecking order with lots of q1 wins and neither played Auburn. So big difference between 9 q1 wins and 6. Absent a huge move we may need them to take 7 sec hosts or we need Georgia to finish with a losing sec record

Edited- sec had 8 hosts last year so 7 wouldn’t be crazy.

UNA say we coming to tank your RPI
It’s not going to move the needle that much in the grand scheme of things. Each game result counts incrementally less towards the calculation than the one before it….and we’re in the “regressing toward a mean” phase now. The big jumps / drops are likely over, unless we do something crazy like take 2 of 3 at Ark, or get swept by Mizzou. It will be a drop in the bucket in the end.

What I would actually like is if we cancelled that game but replaced it with the UAB game that got rained out. That way the committee couldn’t accuse us of gaming the system.

Or just play it and make up the UAB game. You’re right. Unless we lose, it won’t have much impact. And if we lose another OOC game to a bad team, we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves.
