Great. They are gonna score and score fast. His teams always do. We gonna keep up running the ball 4 yards a pop? I don’t care how small their LB’s are.Their LBs are tiny. I don't know if these Pac12 teams ready for the rigor of the B1G.

These are well conditioned athletes. Jet lag is not a huge issue as these games likely will not be played at noon. They fly charter and there is no reason to change sleep patterns that much. They can keep their same gameday routine as they do for a noon home game.We will beat UCLA. It's the Bruins second cross country trip in 3 weeks. The jet lag will catch up to them. Washington comes to NJ for their first away game of the year. Schedule VERY favorable next year.
They still have a ton of talent. I believe both teams have to agree to move the game to a week night. I just can't see agreeing to move the game to Friday night.Washington expecting to have 3 first round picks in this upcoming draft. Going on the road with a new team for the first time can be a challenge. Hoping Washington game is moved to Friday night for a blackout game.
Tv will tell them when the game is. You want B1G money we’ll sit down and **** up. You think B1G teams volunteer to play Friday nights? They still have a ton of talent. I believe both teams have to agree to move the game to a week night. I just can't see agreeing to move the game to Friday night.
One is Rutgers and one is UCLA. That is not a huge difference.Their LBs are tiny. I don't know if these Pac12 teams ready for the rigor of the B1G.
Yes once the schedule is released and dates are set it requires both teams approval to move a game regardless with TV. Penn State and Michigan state had to approve the game move to Friday this year.Tv will tell them when the game is. You want B1G money we’ll sit down and **** up. Gavin would throw for 400 yards against that USC DefenseDo all you guys go to bed before west coast games start? You aren’t going to outscore USC throwing for 42 yards
Is that like the approval my wife seeks before buying expensive stuff? Like all for show because it’s happening either way. LolYes once the schedule is released and dates are set it requires both teams approval to move a game regardless with TV. Throw 400 yards or complete 400 yards worth of passes????Gavin would throw for 400 yards against that USC Defense
I think we all agree, tge schedule isn’t a push over…what we are saying is- we had a much harder schedule this year.I think 8 wins is not going to do it. There were eight 8-4 P5 teams last year. Only two made and they had wins over ranked teams and Rutgers is likely not going to get the benefit of the doubt from voters. Since most voters don't actually watch all the games it takes style points and Rutgers offense style is not going to impress voters reading the box scored. Likely it going to take 9 wins and with the schedule front heavy next year I just don't see them getting to 9 wins.
The schedule is deceptively hard. After the two cupcakes and a bye week it get much harder. It will be tough to win even three of the next six as I see Rutgers only be favored in maybe 2 of the games.. VT improved so much as the year went on and Blacksburg is a tough place to play. Rutgers still doesn't have the horses yet to beat a top 5 Washington team. If Rhule does land a Qb like McCord Nebraska will much improved and another tough place to win in Lincoln. Following that is a physical game with Wisconsin who should improve in Fickle second year. UCLA at home might be the best chance to pick up a win but certainly with their offense will not be easy. USC is loaded with talent and going on the road cross country isn't easy. Once again a tough match up with a high powered offense. I just can't see them coming out of that stretch with less than 3 loses more likely ending winning 1 or 2. The final four are all winnable especially Maryland losing Tagovailoa. It will all be determined by how healthy Rutgers is after the second by week. I think Rutgers likely finishes 3-1. I think they finishing right around 6-6. I think the floor is pretty much 5-7 with the ceiling at 7-5 barring any major portal pick up at QB.
I think we all agree, tge schedule isn’t a push over…what we are saying is- we had a much harder schedule this year.
And it pisses some of us off that everyone else is going to improve but we are getting worse…
That IF ain’t happening, you know, I know and all fans know.If we can get solid QB play and open up the offense, no doubt
The D is legit
We have some dudes over there
Hopefully the O will take significant strides
Please, we can't beat Maryland but we are going to beat UCLA and Washington. The silliness on this board never ceases to amaze me.We will beat UCLA. It's the Bruins second cross country trip in 3 weeks. The jet lag will catch up to them. Washington comes to NJ for their first away game of the year. Schedule VERY favorable next year.
We haven't ended a season strong in nearly a decade. By the end of the season, Schiano's teams have nothing left and get routed by Maryland and everyone else. I think they need to change the S&C approach.
I compare us to Maryland who plays those teams too, and there is no comparison.Playing OSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Iowa over the course of a couple of months will do that if you don’t have a very, very deep team.
Every year we get better. Maryland was the only game where we had trouble keeping up with them. Playing PSU and Iowa took its toll. Next year, we should be able to last the full season without getting fatigued. We haven't ended a season strong in nearly a decade. No, change the QB approach. Offense can’t stay on the field. That’s why the D wears out.We haven't ended a season strong in nearly a decade. By the end of the season, Schiano's teams have nothing left and get routed by Maryland and everyone else. I think they need to change the S&C approach.

lol right! these guys must have watched a different ucla team than the one I watchedDo all you guys go to bed before west coast games start? You aren’t going to outscore USC throwing for 42 yards
Well- ending with OSU/Iowa/PSU and then Maryland would be a rough finish to anyone's season...We just don't have the depth but that is a tough road- And if it started with Maryland and we play like we played against OSU- we would have had a great chance to beat them. But we got Maryland after 3 of the toughest defenses in the country. We haven't ended a season strong in nearly a decade. 4th in the B1G in time of possession...The D wears out because, well, we just don't have the depth yet.No, change the QB approach. Offense can’t stay on the field. That’s why the D wears out.
Depth too, but what was time of possession in the last 4 ? Sure, better opponents but that’s where the D did get worn out4th in the B1G in time of possession...The D wears out because, well, we just don't have the depth yet.

Washington and Oregon looked physical enough to me. It would be hard to imagine USC being as bad defensively as they were this year. Talent is not the problem there. They'll score at will and do enough defensively.Their LBs are tiny. I don't know if these Pac12 teams ready for the rigor of the B1G.
The LB comment was specific to USC. I think Oregon is best equipped to adjust to B1G. Luckily we miss them.Washington and Oregon looked physical enough to me. It would be hard to imagine USC being as bad defensively as they were this year.
They can't. They play @PSU, at home, @RU over three consecutive weeks. Brutal draw for their first year but I'll take it.What if they stay on the East Coast that week?
Pass catchers, pass catchers, pass catchers. It all depends on the portal and the QB getting better. We need upgrades all over the place.
Oregon is probably physical enough. Lanning might be a little bit of a nut with 4th downs but he's continued and built on the physicality Cristobal started at Oregon. We'll have to see who they replace Nix with (Dillon Gabriel?... they're still getting visits from others) but Stein their OC did a good job with Wilson at UTSA and now Nix at Oregon.Washington and Oregon looked physical enough to me. The kids at Washington, Oregon, USC, and UCLA are pros. They don't fly commercial and stay in 3 star hotels. They are extremely pampered professional athletes, they will have all types of trainers, dieticians, massage therapists, doctors, etc. making sure they are optimizing their performance given the travel.Oregon is probably physical enough. Washington is up and down but proved they can be physical at times. They stepped up to the challenge in their rematch against Oregon in the title game. It'll be a real test to see how physical they can be against Texas which is physical team. Will Rogers from Miss State might end up here so we'll see. DeBoer did a good job with Haener at Fresno and now Penix at Washington.
UCLA just lost their qb to the portal and their first year DC Danton Lynn to USC. They were a reverse this year of what they were last year. Last year they were all offense and not much defense, this year they were good on defense and offense slipped. They were more physical this year as a team. I really don't know what to expect from them next year.
We'll see what the new DC from UCLA does for USC. They also hired the NDSU HC (currently in the FCS playoffs) as LB coach. Between the two of them, maybe they will add an air of physicality to the defense and bring some improvement. Lynn made a huge leap to near the top of the country with UCLA's defense in 1 year there so we'll see if he can do it again at USC. If they just become mediocre that's plenty. Regardless, USC is still a potent offensive team. Williams is leaving but Riley has a history of cranking out qbs so I figure they will be fine in that department. You'd have to play a really good game of keep away if you're going to stop them from scoring for long.
The unknown imo is how increased travel affects these teams.

right! it's full on retarded to have this discussion. These teams are more than set to play in the BIG. This isn't the 90s BIGOregon and Washington have the lines to compete with OSU and Michigan today. There won’t be any adjustment needed. .
The 4 teams joining the B1G from the west are all good to very good programs. I don't think anyone really thinks otherwise. What some wonder, is the defensive beating you take each week more difficult then the offensive onslaught they faced previous years. Plus- these new teams are going to have some crazy travel schedules.right! it's full on retarded to have this discussion. These teams are more than set to play in the BIG. This isn't the 90s BIG
