Sideline reporters and interviews are usually worthless . Except for the halftime interview at Michigan when Schiano basically said Michigan was cheating . That was pretty cool
Even though this hire is as a sideline reporter, I would argue that one of the best football analysts right now is a woman that never played sports in Mina kimes. She really gives well thought out detailed analysis. Knows more about offensive and defensive schemes than many of the male analyst that never played.

While several sports analysts and reporters have never played the game(s), most of the greats have. One example is a guy who a long time ago ran a 4.1 40, still holds the NCAA record for tackles for loss and has the world record (which will never be broken) of 8' 1.5" in the high jump. I'm speaking of the late, great Howard Cosell.

I wouldn't have wanted to be banned for MBGs failure to recognize obvious sarcasm when they read it.
