MSU beats Iowa if they didn’t throw 3 picks. Outgained Iowa in yards bigly.
And Iowa has a stout D.

Do you think MSU has better-ranked recruiting classes over teh last 5-6 years than Rutgers? I would think that answer is yes. So all these Big Ten programs have the talent.. have teh facilities.. have highly paid coaches.. all the players are FOOTBALL players.. have heart.. want to win.. like the fight.. no Big Ten game is a sure thing unless you are in the upper-upper tier of all of college football... even then there will be another like you. And more than one other in most years.

So- for all our haters. Yeah- I know, tge line is designed to move bettors.
When was the last time we were favored against a good B1G program.
Northwestern ? They won a division title more recently than Michigan state.

It’s nothing to brag about being favored in our house, on homecoming and against a lousy BIG team that just fired its coach and became a national punch line .

This is a game we have to win.

Thank you. Pretty much what I figured. Luckily, they do not play the game on paper.

I wasn't aware that the Big 10 removed Northwestern University from the conference. What a strange decision.
Alright .. to all the wisenheimers my bad.. we are 1-2 in the B1G.
Against B1G teams with a pulse we are 0-2. Big win by Northwestern on Saturday beating powerhouse Howard by 3 points in their own Stadium.

I should said progress should evaluated in the B1G by beating quality opponents. None against winning teams in the B1G in 2.0. In fact no wins against any FBS teams with winning records in 2.0 Greg.

RU has yet to demonstrate that they can do just enough offensively to win a game against a good defensive team.
true
VT is ranked 54 in total defense while Northwestern is at #61.
Temple's 110 isn't something to brag about scoring 36 on
Rutgers is ranked #14 in total defense
When it comes to offense: RU being 108 is offensive

If you’re going to use the transitive property for Northwestern, you have to also account that the 2 other B1G games we played were against the likely Champions of the East and Champions of the West, both on the road. MSU and Iowa are not playing the B1G championship game

It was a ridiculous comment anyway. Ben Bryant was hurt. He didn’t play in the Howard game and wasn’t the only player banged up. That’s not the version of NW we played against. The team we beat destroyed UTEP, beat Minnesota and went toe to toe with PSU for a full half. End of discussion.

With the exception of the game against Washington and QB Penix (throwing not running), MSU has outgained every opponent this season. GW will need to make plays.

Was going to make the same point on Minnesota. UTEP, not so much, but they did score an impressive victory on FIU last night!!!

They have been losing because they have been very sloppy. minus on TO ratio(one of the worst in the nation) and very heavily penalized.

Dangerous team without all that stuff. I certainly haven’t seen enough of them to know if the penalties and ints are because they are high risk reward team or just sloppy.

Mich. State is almost certainly starting a different quarterback this Saturday.
You never know, but that usually has caused problems for RU in the past.
