Not necessarily losers.. Some of them might prefer a venue that's easier for them to get to because they'd like to attend the game.... Will you be going?
Good news is that there’s 15-20 home games they can attend. A neutral site game isn’t supposed to be in your backyard and if they wanted to go that badly it’s not that far away.

A couple of things...

1. St Johns non-conf schedule is pretty much set already, maybe they need to add one more game which I guess could be us?

2. Not only are they playing home games at MSG and Carnesecca, but they're also playing 3 home games at UBS this season. Not announced which yet. But this wouldn't be a neutral court game in that event.

Not buying it. We're really looking for a third P6 non-con road game along with Seton Hall and Wake?

This. Long Island is not neutral if playing SJU. It’s far worse than playing at MSG.

It's not the distance, believe me. UBS is on the Cross Island Parking Lot. A nightmare road if there ever was one

No truth to this. Possible games against Big 12 and PAC 12 teams, but time is running out to schedule. Many games have fallen through.
well that's one good rumor down the drain.
Now must find another non-game to argue about

JFC. Why can everyone else in this league get a games signed but with Rutgers they always "fall through."
Several reasons

1 - Rutgers likely doesn't want to play a true away game and other teams don't want to visit JMA bc of its raucous atmosphere

2 - Rutgers is trying to get a game in NYC area which still tilts the game in our favor but other teams don't want that obviously

3 - The way our fans complain if the game was anywhere but JMA they wouldn't show up bc they're too mentally inconvenienced to get on public transit

Its really as simple as signing home and homes or playing in a holiday tourney. We refuse to do so. Have no one to blame but ourselves

Can you comment on why no Princeton ever? Sorry if I’ve missed a previous post of yours on the topic.

Hopefully we lock up a Big 12 opponent. Can you tip the hat on games that have fallen through?

I don’t know why teams are afraid of playing us at the RAC. Did they watch our last four home games this past year?
No one is afraid to play at the RAC,just like no one is afraid to play at Cameron or Assembly Hall. The games which we reference were once played as home and home games. Those days are over. They are either neutral sites or Feast Week. And they now, at some places involve an NIL guarantee from the promoter, if the collective is the middle man.

What was the attendance split at MSG for the MSU game?

I find the reactions of "it wouldn't really be neutral because St. Johns would pack the place" a little weird.
Considering the extreme reaction when the MSU game ended up being considered a home game and not a neutral site game.

There’s 10 mich state fans in nyc. St johns would dominate the crowd at msg. Especially with the off-season they just had.

That was the point.

I meant a “neutral” game at MSG against MSU was dominated by Rutgers.
Similar to how SJU would allegedly dominate a “neutral” game at UBS.

But when the MSG was moved to not neutral the reaction was outrage.

UBS is one of St Johns home courts this year. It's not the same thing.

Anyway the rumor didn't make sense and RU72 already shot it down.

It’s really not complicated Nick:
- There’s a faction that was outraged we would “give up” a home game to play at msg.
- Most of those same people and some others were even more outraged that it was changed to a neutral site game in the eyes of the NCAA/net.
- Yes, MSG , the Mecca, the world’s greatest arena… playing there is one thing. Those of us that go love it. Playing St. John’s there actually wouldn’t be so bad as we’d still get plenty of RU fans to this very easy to get to location.
- Playing out on LI?! C’mon. That’s “a bridge too far” for much more of the fanbase. Not as easy to get to for most than MSG. We’re not getting 10k+ to LI like we did the last 2 at MSG, Especially if the game is 12/22 or 12/23.

You can't actually think No. 3 has an validity whatsoever? That's too preposterous for words.
