Wow, just wow! Relatively even first half, then UVA dominated the 2nd half, but couldn't score, although RU had the best scoring chance, which we failed to convert on a good save. Then we win 7-6 on PKs in 9 rounds, after missing the first two, but somehow clawing our way back in, with a save by Murphy and then the potential game winner being clanged off the crossbar by the UVA kicker. Then Murphy saved the last PK for the win.
RU Women beat UVA on PKs after 0-0 tie - on to the Final Four (Fri, 5 pm, ESPNU)!

Just goes to show that a great defense/keeper can beat a great offense (UVA supposedly had the most potent offense in the tourney). How cool is going to the Final Four? FYI, the games are in Cary, NC (if I wasn't crushed at work, I'd probably go), with the semis on Friday at 5 pm on ESPNU and the final at noon on Sunday.
Story is up on SK.com. Most interesting tidbit for me was that this was the first game all year that UVA's high-powered offense was shut out - that's pretty impressive stuff.
