Rule Question> Auburn coach calling TO, and the fail video

Funny watching the dude slip and fall.

That aside, as we saw during the T.O. fail of the NY Jets, only a head coach can call a T.O. in the NFL, is this also true in college? In the case of the JETS game, I do not blame the referee for blowing the play dead as he should not turn his head to see who it is that is screaming T.O. In the case of my question about Auburn and the T.O., after he slid into the official, should he have been penalized for a sideline violation if an assistant cannot call T.O. like it is in the NFL?

even if he could call a time out, it was a sideline violation. sliding into the ref with his spikes up was unsportsmanlike and misdemeanor assault.

league should get a tape.

Yeah. Sliding in like that with his spikes up is at least a yellow card, if not a red card. He was lucky he didn't get booked.
