i can see you have been made aware of this, but i would get really fuzzy on the details if you are ever contacted (as unlikely as it may be) about this. its 100% a HIPAA violation and grounds for fines or dismissal of your source. this from someone in the medical field and constantly made aware of HIPAA regulations. also, not trying to be a snob, but its HIPAA not HIPPA...a common mistake.

I don't expect to be contacted either, but I don't remember her name anyway, so they'd be wasting their time hunting me down in the first place. I'm 100% aware that it's 100% a violation. You could spend the day riding an elevator in any given hospital and severely put a dent in their employee pool if you want to crack down on HIPPO violations.
