Auburn Super Recruit Injured????
</h3><div class="post-header">

</div>

<div>Sources
close to The Realist Nation chimed in early this morning and have
stated that Auburn QB recruit, Cam Newton, may have a shoulder injury
similar to the one former Tiger Chris Todd suffered. The story is that
legendary orthopedic doctor, James Andrews, has looked at Newton and if
the shoulder will not heal itself during spring practice, the 6'6" 240
lb. QB will be operated on immediately for the fall. If the story is
accurate, and The RN is working feverishly to verify, then Auburn could
be without the services of the once Florida Gator for several months.
Stay tuned to The Realist Nation as this story unfolds.</div>

you didn't atleast smile a little on the inside when you posted this? I can't help it. I don't pull for an injury, but I'm not disappointed if it happens to this guy. He has plenty of money now anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm won't be happy that the kid might have a serious injury. That sucks for him even if it did appear he burned us at the last second. But, in the sense that it will give us a leg up in winning our SEC opener - I will be ecstatic. Whatever gives us an advantage is a good thing for us. Plus, Rollison transferred. Who are they going to play at QB? Burns? Caudle? A true freshman, if they recruited one?

If it is true, I wonder how long this has been known or how he did happen to injure it. I'll admit, it will be funny if the Newtons knew he had hurt it at some point during the JUCO season. Him burning us could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

I admit I could be digging deep for this, but I'm kinda glad we've gotcompetitionbetween Relf and Russell, neither of them knowing that the job is theirs. Russell is still very respected in MS high school ranks. It'd be great for our recruitingfor him to have a great year.

They can take a long time to recover from, and sometimes you don't ever really recover.

I guess it depends on what the injury is as to how long it will take to heal. And I wonder when the injury occurred.

she is a mother<17>er. What would be funny is if newton missed about half of the year and was forced to play the second half of the year by the coaches b/c the other QBs sucked ***. He then loses his chance at a medical redshirt. Although, I would love to sit close to Cecil in 'vegas should we beat auburn this year. I would produce a youtube video of epic proportions all highlighting the relentless taunting that I would direct toward Cecil "rented mule" Newton. </p>

Not that I wish the guy pain, it just seems like we always get the short end of the stick. Here's to a successful SEC opener.

That was my first thought. I hope he has to sit out our game. After thinking about it though, I hope he plays and McPhee knocks his *** out on the first play from scrimmage Jimmy Johns style.

but this isn't too bad of a turn of events though. him playing also could turn out to look like this at the end of the game after whipping our asses.....

He had to sit out the first half of the season, and then one of their other QB's stepped up and dominated thus causing the coaches to bench Newton for the rest of the season when he is fully healed.

**** after the fact. You probably didn't follow it closely enough, but Cecil is a jackass and would still be a jackass if newton had come to State.
