If its liberty I hope Memphis handles the traffic better. I, along with many others, sat in traffic for well over an hour trying to get parked. I'll have a better plan this time, and get there earlier.

There was also the panicked crowd issue trying to get to your seats. Seems like under the north endzone is where is got so bad. I had friends stuck there for 15 minutes - couldn't move. I think it stemmed from not having all the gates open or something.

Absolutely true regarding getting to your seats. Best I could tell, only one gate was open and it was halfway around the stadium from our seats.

But ... you misunderestimated the traffic. It took me longer to get from I-40 to the game than it took for me to get from Huntsville to Memphis. And that's no exaggeration. There was no traffic control whatsoever.

I bet Vandy fans boycott all bells now.

/seriously... We better not complain when we go 9-3 next year and end up in Nashville.

Can't say that I blame them. They deserve a lot better than they're getting. 9-3 or whatever they are in the SEC is commendable.

They SHOULD at best be in the MC bowl because they are 8-4 with GA but GA has a better SEC record. Really the only 2 bowl teams from the SEC they should be ahead of in the pecking order is OM and MSU. Vandy is 8-4 and 4-4 in the SEC.

I hope their complaints are pointed towards Georgia and not us or OM. Yes, they beat UGA heads up, but Georgia has the better resume. IMO, the fact Bama isn't going to the NSCG screws them more than anything. It's keeping them out of the Gator. The combination of people discrediting Georgia and over-hyping Vanderbilt is making the perception worse. UGA isn't bad. The only bad loss was to Mizzou. The rest were 3-5 points. And the Auburn thing was...well, an Auburn thing. It's funny, the East being down is hurting them as much as it's helping them.

The stadium seems to have foot traffic problems under the best of circumstances. As a Memphian who attends the U of M games when not in Starkville, I've been stuck in stop-and-go traffic in the concourses when there were a mere 6,000 people in attendance. I can't really put my finger on why.

If they hadn't collapsed in the last seconds of the game, they would have beaten the Bears.
