Casey would be a great choice...I've mentioned him before as well, but he is turning 65 next week and happy/successful where he's at, so that may be a hard sell.

I do think he would kill it here, but CCC will set the program ablaze as he exits stage left and he'd have a rebuild on his hands. Not sure he'd want to take it on, other than maybe an interim with options if things took off quickly.

On the other hand, the portal has completely changed the way the chess pieces move, so who knows.

Friend of a friend thing here, take it for what it's worth.

Guy I work with plays games with a few former UK football players. This part is legit, as I have played with them some too. They are still in touch with program.

Said they were talking last night that the athletic department is talking about Cal to the Lakers. Say contact has been made and there is more interest than what is being reported. Their guess was AD is trying to get LeBron behind bringing him there.

According to whomever they talked to in the athletic department, they think Cal is leaving. Said the feeling the athletic department has is that Cal is ready to leave and will look at other jobs if not LA.

I asked him about replacements and he said they had no idea.

Again, random rumor, take it for what it's worth
Please I pray on this everyday! 🙏

Y’all be careful and don’t slip in the hater slobber
"Hater slobber?" LOL, bAss. You have quite the arsenal of pejoratives ... "hater slobber" is comical but undoubtably "Farts" is your best work. Cheer up ... you can order some Laker gear bAss 'cause you're gonna soon be a Lakers fan. BBN's gonna miss you. You're fandom of Calipari gives a "new and special" meaning to the term "CALifornication" and now it's even more appropriate and fitting.

You guys are missing the obvious here. Cal is the perfect coach for Bron. "Here's the play, Bron! Inbounds the ball to AD. AD throw the ball back to Bron. Bron, you pound the air outta the ball until there's 5 seconds on the shot clock, then drive to the rim to get fouled. If you're cut off, just throw it up at the rim, AD, you grab the rebound and stuff it to win the game." Bron: "Cal is a genius! Why have none of my other coaches drawn up simple effective plays like this? Those other ones were too hard to keep track of... this is much better."
AD: "I knew you'd like him Bron, and I don't have to carry the team with my outlandish talent."

I appreciate you posting this . You stated its not from the horses mouth , it's a message board , no harm in discussing water cooler type talk . And no one should want to hang you if it isn't true .

He's the same poster that went berserk yesterday because all the "rumor" threads weren't taken down. You can't make this stuff up.

Thanks. I appreciate the rumors. Gives me hope for a better future for UK basketball if true.

good grief... hate filled with hate... they have, done much worse.
You want Cal gone, but it would be stupid for "x team" to take him. Do you see the problem?
No, please explain it to me.

I'll say it again, if the fvcking lakers hired this clown, it would be the dumbest thing they've ever done. Tell me what decision is worse?

Has nothing to do with my feelings towards Cal, my statement was about the Lakers hiring Calipari, I said nothing about my feelings toward Cal. Get it? Got it? Good!

And you're the same dillweed who misspelled embarrassment in a thread title... [laughing]

You've reduced yourself to slander and spell-checking. I won't lie, watching you self-destruct this past week and show the entire board how worthless your time is, is PRICELESS entertainment.

Keep looking for those spelling errors. My 6 year old niece does that, too. [laughing]

No, I just thought that when a dumbass calls out someone for an embarrassment, they'd be educated enough to be actually be able to spell it... [laughing]

I don’t cry on a messsge board daily about 18 year old kids.
Did you laugh when you typed this out? I laughed reading it.

You ***** and complain about every post you don't agree with.

Just because you complain about something different, doesn't mean you aren’t complaining.

Oh, also, you lost a ban bet, why are you still here? Why have you not honored the bet you made?

Quit being a *****.

It’s funny bc the slurpers and pumpers think cal is nba material and may get some interest while those who want cal ousted think there’s no chance in hell he goes to the Lakers bc why would the nba want cal? It’s like some American politics and it’s seems to split the way people have discussed cal here.

my opinión. Time and time again it’s been shown that a change or scenery rejuvenates players, coaches. The saying “he needs a fresh start” then the guy becomes an all star then they say “all he needed was a fresh start”. We know what cal is capable of. He is a terrific motivator and he knows how to win when he’s motivated. Cal needs a fresh start. Hell he may go win 3 nba titles before a new coach wins 1 here. The pumpers will say “see”. While people like me will say he was never gonna do it in Lexington bc he was burned out “he needed a fresh start”. I think a move to the nba would be perfect for cal and UK.

Yes, and so has Sharpe. You just haven’t found out yet by someone you’ll believe. But you will, and your post will look prematurely foolish. 👋🏻
Me foolish? Because I bemoaned the departure of Oscar? I still can't find the article saying he is gone, can you send me the link?

Sorry I can't accommodate you Bass...my religion prohibits dealings with homosexuals...

You poor thing. Bass is a liberal, I'm far from it. Go cry to the moderators and they'll inform you that several people here see you as a total, thin skinned buffoon. [laughing]

I dont think calipari will coach again after he leaves...he'll be in some sort of executive position
He gonna be the ambassador for the University of Kentucky!! $1 million dollar a year. He will probably need a side job or 3 though or the Calipari’s might go broke living on that. Cal let his beard grow back out and see him walking down New Circle Road wondering where it all went wrong on a skimpy 1$ freaking million a year. 😂.

Give a man who steered more mfs out of UK who could’ve maybe helped win some chips and wasn’t even always sure they wanted to leave after 1 season as hard as he could an ambassador position. 🤷‍♂️ Makes sense. I’m not against wat Cal did or the players leaving though to get that money but to give him a position as ambassador! Makes me think ol Mitch or whoever done that is smoking some way better **** than I am. I don’t mind sayin I’d like to smoke some of it too about right now.

Funny coming from a guy that invents his own facts to bash the Kentucky Wildcats.
