the NCAA has decided to do "what was fair because we screwed up on another case, so we have to screw this one up to" instead of doing what was right once, they've decided to be wrong twice. But that's what the law is all about right? Being "fair" and not being right.

That is such ********. The initial decision was only "wrong" because it negatively impacted the Ole Miss University. What is embarrassing is to see UM fans and professionals alike bombarding Ronnie Ramos's twitter with juvenile banter and "free Masoli", as if he was part of the decision.

With the events of this week, there's not a more perfect example of a spoiled fanbase whining and bitching until they get their way.

First, just because he was accepted, doesn't mean he was enrolled.

Second, I think it would set a horrible precedent to allow the NCAA to force someone to continue with a field of study.

Third, they never said that was why they were not granting the waiver. Obviously they felt like that was irrelevant.

Am I banned now?

...somebody posted the timeline the other day. The deadline for enrollment was in May and he was booted from the team in June. This was the reason the NCAA requested more paperwork...because the timeline Masoli provided was inconsistent with what the University of Oregon provided. This is why it should've been an open and shut case. You can't well say that the University of Oregon didn't provide the grad program of choice when he actually was enrolled in a grad program.

I think the posts above nail on the head why it was overturned: the language in the original denial referred to his punishment at Oregon. They didn't need to do that with the facts on their side.

Just because you are a governing body, judge, business, attorney, lender, etc etc doesn't mean you have to follow any precedents...No one has to follow any precedents! That's like saying if another famous football player murders his wife and the glove that was found doesn't fit but all the other evidence stacks up against him we're going to let him go because that's what we did with the OJ case, horse sh**! The NCAA needs to grow a pair! You don't make something right by doing what you did with a similar case in the past(when you were wrong the first time), you only dig yourself into a worse situation! Anyone that could defend their decision to overturn this suspension is either A too blind/ too stupid to admit the truth or B is just simply a moron and is wasting oxygen for the rest of us.....Grow up NCAA, man up, and admit when you are wrong! Hell, everyone else with half a brain knows it!
