After last night’s practice, we focused mostly on Mississippi State’s plans following the resignation of receivers coach Angelo Mirando, and rightfully so as it was the team’s first session without him. However, Dan Mullen did provide some insight into his … Continue reading →

Alright - this a new feature you get with vbulletin - instead of the RSS feeds at the top - it will make a post when there is a new blog entry by HailState Beat (Bob Carskadon) or CLMSU_Beat (Marcello). Y'all feel free to comment on those topics.

Ladarius was a little bit of a disappointment last year until The Egg Bowl. He looked real strong in Spring camp and bulked up a bit. Excited to see what he can do this year.

Nice feature. New format going to take some getting use to though.

I was hoping Nick would step up

Seems like we are doomed to a disappointing RB every couple of years.

This is exactly what I said would happen

but I still think Griffin will start to take carries away as the season progresses. At least now we know what the "dissapointed" tweets were about.

This would be the only reason I don't like this feature. If someone does not comment, the article will move down the page.

Its hard to get over an injury like that. It's even harder to heal mentally. I hope Perk can handle the bulk of the carries. He does not seem like that kind of back. It worries me.

I think we'll be fine. We had the same worries in 2010 after Dixon left. We have two very different backs that could give defenses alot to prepare for if used correctly.

Griffin looked pretty good to me last year, he seemed quick for his size. I think he'll work his way in. Having Perk along with Robinson and Milton in the backup role gives me confidence at this position. Plus, I expect the lineup to change from week to week.
