I'd rather not use flood salary as a marker, but I bet the Admin does.

I can't wait to see the lines of coaching candidates when Flood is fired (if)

At that salary the marginal rate is closer to 9%, with promises it will go over 10% after 2017. And no mortgage interest deductions, no charitable contribution deduction and limited real estate tax deduction.

Holy cow your tax codes suck. I thought Ohio was bad but damn.

What makes it worse is the chorus down in Trenton saying we're not taxed enough. And they'll be in control after the 2017 state elections.

And if you think that's bad, I won't even talk to you about the estate and inheritance taxes without paramedics present.

MAybe we can get Bernie to run for governor! I'm sure he'll solve any tax problems.

I doubt very much this is true. Flood was hired at a low salary because he was not qualified and we thought we were stuck in the AAC. He was given a minimal raise because he is not in demand. We pay him very little, because he has no leverage at all. Whatever coach we pick up next will get market rate for P5, which is well above what we are paying Flood. Everything I've heard points to us having a decent pot of money for coach, if and when, we make a change.

Now we're not going to win many bidding wars, but we'll offer a solid salary for a HC.

Here is the problem...if we are not Will big to pay for a HC and his assistants, then we drop below a lot of schools. And that is a crying shame because if we paid the same, we jump right up there in the top 4.
Believe me, if we offered 3 mil + for a HC and designate a combined 1.5 for coordinators, then a good HC jumps to the head of the class and like Schiano, a path to the NFL.

if flood gets canned, I hope we don't get what many of the same grass is greener crowd wished when they wanted greg out--I laugh to think so many on here wanted him out now pray for his return--I can honestly say I told you so.

Not a knock on Shciano or a plug for Flood but I don't see him winning more the 9 in 2012 or 8 in 2014. He may have done slightly better in 13 and maybe this year. That just isn't enough of an improvement for me to have wished he stayed.
