I believe having played together for years is really going to pay dividends for Chris Smith in the future. I can't remember any recent instances in the SEC or major FBS football where a stud QB/WR went on to the same school, although I'm quite sure there are more than a few.

Given the number of talented WR's signed I think that Smith will be the gem of them all due to the fact he knows his QB backwards and forwards going in. Regardless, the bottom line is that it feels damn good to finally be excited about having a competent offensive staff who isn't familiar with "doing things the right way".</p>

from Noxubee County that signed along with Omar Conner? There was some success there but with Omar's on again, off again QB career, I guess that combination was a moot point.

I think its his family that is not helping in Noxubee.

Good call. I forgot about him. Forgive me if I'm more excited about this duo as opposed to Conner/Sanders though.

Or maybe I just had the numbers & rosters mixed up, but I remember him being one of the best WRs in the SEC.... and I think Anthony Littlejohn turned out to be a beast at LB.

So he obviously had potential, I don't know why he never did anything in real life...

...you make about as much sense as Money Mike's Milk-shake Diet and you could potentially be violating a rule. Easy there, big cat.

I, along with all my friends, were complaining about how much they had shorted us in the game, and how unfair it was because we were gonna be WAY better than that.
Turns out, EA wasn't so dumb after all.

...when it comes to evaluating WRs. I mean, maybe the game had him more than a little overrated - but in my heart I'll always remember the way Henig & Sanders combined for a 400 yard, 4 TD game performance to upset LSU and win the west.

But seriously, like other players during the Croom era I'm sure he was capable of more than we saw. Looking back at the recruiting sites, they had him comparable to how Smith is rated (national WR rank). I think he ended up with about 250 yards total in his career - and seems like he had a big 70 yard play one year, so a big chunk of those total yards were from one play. Just another casualty of Croom's high powered offense.
