Anybody know if Rutgers has changed it's policy on buying Away Game Tickets? The Ticket Office [Drew} told me today that you need to be a Season Ticket Holder to buy away game tickets through them due to the B1G policy {?}. Don't recall this as a requirement in the past and I thought the B1G made each Home Team make available 3000 Tickets for sale to visiting B1G Teams. Highly doubt that we will sell 3000 tickets to the Game in Minnesota. Was hoping to sit with the RU faithful.

Another reason why the next AD needs to fire the entire athletic department and start over. Selling 3,000 tickets bought by Rutgers season ticket holders through the school for a game in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is completely delusional.

Usually there is a timeframe for season ticket holders to get first rights to the tickets. After a certain date, they open it up to the general public. It's still early July so I assume this is the scenario. For example, I know I can't buy away games yet from some other schools.

Yes understood. But if the 3000 ticket policy for visiting B1G team allocation is still in effect that logic by the RU ticket office is ridiculous. They know there is no way there are selling their full allocation. You would think they would encourage RU Fans to attend away B1G games. I’ll just buy on Seat Geek or another 3rd party somewhere near the RU section. I did get great Airfares from Las Vegas to Minneapolis.

You might try posting on the Ticket and Parking Ticket Exchange to ask a season ticketholder if they can purchase away game tickets for you.
There are some inexpensive season ticket plans as well.

Agreed, but back in the day we used to sell out our allotment. For example, we had over 3K at the 2002 Tennessee game. Back then the seats were in better locations (we were between 10 and goalline in the lower level), but now the seats are trash. Definitely buy on one of the sites like StubHub.

Overall Rutgers athletics and ticket office does a very poor job when it comes to marketing fan trips to away games that are more than Army/Temple. The R Fund does a great tailgate setup at them though, which is awesome. But, if you knew how the big boys of the B1G and SEC do it, we are pretty pathetic. It’s too bad because away game trips are some of the most fun parts of college football fandom. And, the Big Ten has some amazing away game destinations for college towns/food.

This. Hopefully the new AD will do a much better job on this vs. the previous one.
