Rutgers Basketball B1G schedule

So once again the B1G giving RU the proverbial shaft. PSU loses their coach and basically 6 of starting 7 and we only play them once. Iowa losing everybody and we only play them once. Minnesota worse team in the league we only get them once?

Guessing Purdue will be favorites. Wisc best player announced returning. Guessing Maryland in upper echelon.
Still waiting for that Garden makeup game.
MSU only away. How nice? So no MSU home game for two years. That seems fair! Not!! All of you who thought that game was good for RU? Keeps looking worse and worse. SMH.
Only one I can’t get a handle on is Michigan and we finally beat them and NCAA screws us. OSU most back? I guess Indiana and Illinois depends on who returns.

You continue to sound like a buffoon. The schedule is a rotation and has been for a few years. The teams we played once last year we play twice this year. That's how it works. Anyone who pays attention could have told you this before it was announced.

Starting the season with Indiana and Purdue away, no three game homestand, giving away home court advantage to MSG… usual end of season crap mainly road games…. But I digressed. MSU away this year makes all the sense in the world… in what world.

One of the 7 games we played home and away in the previous year stays to do it again.
Penn State "stayed on the scheduled" as a home and away this past year. So the 22-23 season Penn State Stayed on. in 21-22 Maryland Stayed On.
There does not seem to be a set rival for this slot as OSU is "staying on this year".
Also last time we played
MSU, IU, NW, and Iowa once in a season (excluding B1G tourney) was the 21-22 season. And we are flip flopping home/away from that season so we are even.
The exception is Minnesota we played them away that year.
However we are also playing PSU one time and the last time we played them 1 time only was 20-21 which we played them away. So we are flopping with PSU and getting them home this time and Minnesota we are playing away instead to keep it at 10 home / 10 away games.
There looks to be a lot of predictable patterns in the 20 game B1G schedule.

After giving away a home game to MSG to MSU last year and playing MSU on the road thought just maybe we would get the game vrs MSU at home. My favorite B1G game of the year against the last B1G to win a national championship.
As Coach also indicated (even though we did ultimately beat MSU at MSG) the wear and tear of three games away from the RAC in the B1G weighed heavily on the team.
I also suspect Purdue and MSU will be favorites this coming year. If those are our first two games, not unlike Purdue and Indiana last year…. It would give me pause… if that makes me lol a conspiracy theorist…

Curious why we are getting OSU twice this year? I like the PSU rivalry especially when they may be down. Wonder how that came about? And yes I would like as many B1G wins as possible and think PSU might be down a year or two.
Minnesota away seems odd too. And not part of any formula.
So instead of calling people names do some research as there certainly are quirks for this schedule. After the MSU crap and the Ohio State game and daily officiating, forgive me if I don’t believe the B1G gives RU a fair shake.

For the record PSU did "stay on" for Home/Away in 20-21 and 19-20.
18-19 was first year of this format.
So we had PSU stay on 3X (19-20, 20-21 and 22-23)
Marlyand stay on 1X (21-22)

nobody knows how hard the schedule will end up being....there are always surprises. Would you have predicted AT NORTHWESTERN to be our second most valuable win last year?

If we think this team will be good it will behoove us not to have Minnesota at home. Pikiell will schedule more than enough Quadrant 4 games in non-conference. We don't need one in conference.
You could check the other 13 teams' schedules and find other small inconsistencies, too. The bottom line is that a rotation is a fair way to make the schedule whether you like it or not. Stop whining.

Good - I want our games to be against the best combination possible to boost SOS. How good the BIG team is doesn’t seem seem to coorelate with our success in conference so may as well play the best.
So RU and Maryland have legitimate gripes? Who would have thunk it?

I like this a lot for us. Early prediction is we will sweep the home-only foes based on what they lose, and we can get some wins in the road-only games.

I know I'm an outlier and still consider SHU a rival but didn't really think of PSU. Especially since they've generally been bad.
