It's a lateral move, not a HC gig (and with USC that's an offer he couldn't refuse), so it would seem to be a question of money.

I don't see him leaving unless it's for a HC job. He stays and then gets a crack at a G5 HC job after 2024 IMO.

I’m not sure why there wouldn’t be G5 teams after him this offseason.

He was a very successful HC at Maine, and a proven DC at two B1G schools that would be considered to be at a talent disadvantage to many of their conference opponents.

Yea I posted that in the Flaherty thread. Feldman was just throwing a bunch of potential names out there for USC DC and JH happened to be one of them.

I don’t think there’s any real smoke with JH for now and way too early for USC to really do a search yet.

It’s always possible someone else could sniff around but he’s from here so that’s a plus for us.

I can certainly see that honestly.

Yeah I read that article in the athletic and there many names bandied about and JH was near the bottom. Nice to see him get some recognition for his work and he may eventually be a candidate but I did not think there was any smoke from that article.

I’m glad JH is at the so called bottom. We need that type of coach here. A Jersey guy with a chip on his shoulder.
