Now we will see if the players have pride... if the coaches really care.

I had not considreed this before typing this... buit what if Schiano is done with colelge football? I mean, Saban is older,,, eminently accomplished.. and NIL was not somehting he wanted to deal with. Some coaches it really is all about the relationships you build while building players you recruited up to play great football. What if that was what really motivated Schiano and now.. with paying for players during recruiting, seeing them leave for the highest bidder due to easy transfers.. what if this has soured him? It has certainly hampered his ability to effect success by building players up for 4 years.

lol watershed battling for last place

you guys are nuts

this game is only going to determine who is last or next to last. All the things you think you wanted to see were kicked to the curb in the last game

Rutgers will take on Purdue for the third time in making its second visit to Ross-Ade Stadium, first with fans in the stands. The Scarlet Knights lead the series, 2-0.

Will there be fans in the stands ? The central Indiana worm farm competition and the Interstate 65 highway painting parade are a lot more compelling than this Big10 Basement trophy game.

And don’t forget the Mennonite flea market every fall Saturday. It should be on everyone’s bucket list.

He wouldn't be abandoning the players who left, he'd be abandoning the players who stayed. Contrary to both 1.0 and 2.0 Schiano.

I don't follow. Where did "abandon" come from. Can you make what you are saying more clear?

The Jarret Brown effect.
Good example, I was thinking Cincy's backup Nick Davila who burst RU's bubble after the 2006 Louie game win.
That was one hell of a letdown after RU beating #3 Louisville the week before and going into the game ranked #7

If he can run, he's a problem.

One could say the Cincy DBs willingness to take intentional PI penalties to prevent long gains or TDs had more to do with it than Davila

I do think Davila's 11-15 for 277 yards with 1 TD passing and a rushing TD did help.

I don't see a prediction thread so I will go RU 38 Purdue 34. Will not be an easy win.
If we win the Turnover battle we should win this one.
Our issue will be containing the back up QB. Something hapless Greg has failed to do numerous times over his career.
