Rutgers fundraising is up 17% compared to last year according to a report citing the Rutgers BoG.
We must be doing something right.

Not sure how much credit can be given to Julie Hermann for the entire university's fundraising results.but everyone says Julie should be fired...
I think she will be an example of how hiring people from places with a track record will pay dividends.
Getting the next hot coach from the MAC might pan out, but I'd prefer someone with P5 experience -- preferably good experience.
Link ?
How much of the 17 % fundraising increase is due to higher ticket prices, additional premium fees for preferred seating, increased parking fees, etc paid for by our FB season ticket base ?
Honestly, without a link I'm 17% more confused how someone came up with this number and what the breakdown of the actual increase is.
And why isn't our AD coming out of her office to announce this increase to the public and trying to generate positive PR for RU Athletics ?
because she doesn't have to...an ADs job is behind the scenes. You got fooled by Flashbulb Bob and PhotoOp Tim
You giving Bob and Tim crap for being the actual face of the athletic department, while Julie the Phantom remains unseen?
Funny.
I would think fundraising is donations those other items would be called revenues

You would be wrong in assuming that.
It's up 17% compared to this point last year according to Sargeant's tweet.. I don't think it takes into account the full fiscal year. The 18% you're referring to seems more like a year over year comparison. The 17% might be more a quarter over quarter comparison.Really? Fundraising in Athletics was up over 18% last year. Now it's up another 17% this year?
You would be wrong in assuming that.
Where is the transparency to show where the supposed 17% increase came from ? Seeing is believing.

whether extra donations for parking are factored in, I don't give a ****. Ticket revenue isn't factored in assuredly. The fact is the schools is raising more money than they did before. Whatever method they are using is working. That's the bottom line here. You can be a Debbie downer and try to downplay because Julie pissed in your cornflakes but everyone knows your schtick already
You don't? Please don't ever comment or complain on parking lots not being 100% full then.
17% increase is great but it's not hard to figure out what's driving this. Required seat donations and parking cutoffs. And BIG10 exposure.
Wake me up when Julie raises anything substantial towards facilities. I'm not bashing her but it's been over two years, it's time for her to really make her mark.
Required seat donations won't be due for months. Not sure how that could play into the increase at all.
You can say that for the first year in the B10 which is why I say you take that first year as sort of a baseline. The surge from exposure and what not have been largely had in the first year. To continue to build on that in the 2nd year and beyond is crucial and this is a positive sign. You don't? Please don't ever comment or complain on parking lots not being 100% full then.

Okay I stand corrected, just read the previous post.
Good news then. Still waiting for some substantial donations towards facilities before I get really excited. Took a long time to raise the $ for the baseball facility. Not holding my breath over the basketball plans.
Some are going to say what they're going to say, what can you do. I've always said this kind of lifting of the entire athletic department is a long haul task. It doesn't get done over night and while the B10 money will be extremely helpful it's not a bottomless pot of gold. Fundraising is going to be key as well and expanding the pool of donors is important. I believe we had a record number of donors last year. I hope we can build on that as well. This is something to celebrate and here are "fans" trying to discredit and complain. Don't be such douchebags.
"Coach Flood told the Professor that he purposely didn’t wear any Rutgers’ apparel or insignia so he wouldn’t be recognized in public, meeting with the Professor.”He's a working class guy who has the courage to test the limits of the ankle biter's envelope.
