I really like what I've seen from Asa since Feb. He has improved as an open shot maker. Also, his aggression and assertiveness are improving.

His brother will be a sophomore at Georgia this season.

I get the sense that his father wants him at Florida State. However, the Seminoles do not appear to be putting a strong push on Asa.

From what I'm hearing neither nor his parents think reclassifying is the right move.

Source said that is something Gonzaga floated to Newell when they lost a forward to the portal.
Asa was born in 2005. He’s probably considering to reclassify.

Asa Newell is 17 years old. He'll be 18 when he graduates from Montverde Academy.
