Pain pills will take a man and turn him into nothing. If Brett Favre had not kicked the habit when he did, he would have already been retired 11 years ago. These pills will take a responsible, God fearing man and turn him into nothing and the only thing he wants to do daily is get some pills and get a fix. These drugs have become so recreational, that 90% of the US population is on them.

I knew it had to have been drugs, and pain pills were what I was thinking. I've personally seen too many people get addicted to these things. Our generation has been dubbed generation Rx.

Reaching much?
No ****!

That is pure ******** to say 90% is on them....

If they would legalize marijuana and then make pain pills a little "harder" to prescribe you have a solution.

most don't need them for anything! And yes, I am probably very wrong on the 90% thing, I guess it's just my sources!

and the thing is.. a doctor will practically help you get hooked on them. My dad had back surgery 15 years ago and was prescribed pills for the pain after surgery. He kept taking them.. getting them refilled... taking them... and getting them refilled..etc..etc. Finally mom asked him how bad he was hurting and if they needed to go back and have his back checked out again. He came to the conclusion that he wasn't really hurting but his mind was telling him he was. he got rid of them and went on about his life.

After he went back for a scheduled checkup... one of the first things that his doctor asked was if he needed more pills.

I can probably name 9 friends on them too, and I was friends with all of them before they started taking them, and I agree with whoever brought up the marijuana thing. I was too afraid I would get bashed for bringing that up when I posted it earlier, but this is one of the reason marijuana is not legal, b/c the government has drugs like this they are making too much money off of. Yes, they could tax and regulate marijuana, but too many people would learn how to grow it themselves. You can't grow lortabs.

I thought he was leading a small town life and doing well. Maybe I'm thinking of another qb that failed in the pros.

That was him, but I'm pretty sure he got fired from that job for buying pain pills off one of the players.
