Are his sources the UK fan base who saw the same thing when Barker played last game? That his sources tell him that the offense has been looking much sharper this week in practice with Barker at QB.
Take it for what it's worth.

The only nitpick I would have with your post is that Towles does not have "by far" more physical talent than Barker. Barker was actually rated higher as a college prospect, and those ratings put a lot of weight into pure physical talent. Barker and Towles have very similar skillsets, though Towles gets an edge for being a bit bigger and stronger. In terms of physical tools, and potential to play in the league, either of these two guys would be on a different planet than someone like Hartline or Max Smith.Lemond is an absolute clown. But hes a clown with excellent sources within the football program. Hes been on top of many situations before anyone else.
Towles looked better to me early on. So I have no doubts those practice reports were true. But for whatever reason hes regressed and in a major way. He has by far the most physical talent between the two, but the players basically quit on him after he threw a pick on the screen vs UT.
Towles physical skills were just so incredible, the staff tried and tried to improve his decision making on the job, and it just wasnt working.
Barker isnt ready. But hes the best option at this point. He'll make quick decisions, although they wont always be the right ones. His quick decisions will make the OL look better (people will start complaining they just started blocking for Barker and it wasnt fair to Towles, without realizing Towles was holding the ball way too long). WR's will start performing better, because balls will be on time and on target; rather than throwing late, high and behind them while going over the middle. Then if we get first downs, we'll have the tempo we want and we will be rolling.
Of course there will be mistakes because hes not ready. He'll throw picks. Maybe even more pick 6's.
So many people here defend stoops and towles and bash everyone else for not thinking they've done a good job because apparently they've done such a great job so far? I don't get it. Towles has played like trash all season long. He had one good game against mizzou, that's it. And maybe USC. And stoops makes the most mind boggling in game decisions week after week no one team in division one has as many coaching errors as us on a weekly basis and it's not even close. It's pathetic. And yes I have a friend who goes to the practices. A lot of them. And I'm telling you that barker is wayyyyy better than towles. The ones saying they have people who say towles is better in practice. Well be prepared to be exposed that you all are liars and don't have any sources after these next 2 weeks of football. Yall are about to eat crow that's fordamnsure.
I cannot disagree with the coaches decision to go with Pat in terms of experience and ability. My question is how is it so many of our posters attend what is essentially closed practices?I am going to tell you something and you can get offended or you can listen. That's up to you. You are making a complete fool of yourself. I am not calling you out. I am just telling you something that the rest of us already know from reading you juvenile posts. You may be a kid and that's fine. You will get wiser. If you are grown, I don't know, I would just tell you to read a lot more and type a lot less.
Your friend may think Barker looked better. That doesn't mean he did. I was there too and what I saw with my own eyes is different than what your friend is telling you. Towles looked clearly better to me and also to the coaching staff. That is why they went with him. That is also why it took so long to make the change. Barker didn't get a shot because he looked better in practice. He got a shot because what we are doing with Towles in the game is obviously not working. At this point, the thinking is, we might as well give the kid a chance, what do we have to lose. We may be better with Barker, he wouldn't be given a chance if that weren't a possibility. I hope we are better with Barker but don't let that fool you into thinking that Towles didn't make the most sense from the start.
I will defend the staff on the way they have handled the QB but nobody can defend them on the play calling. It has been horrific and I have not seen very many people say otherwise.

If I send you a direct message of me and my girlfriend so you know it's not a lie. Will you at least show the tiniest of respect by not posting it here?

Uhhh, that sounds like he's definitely ready. That's exactly what we need in a QB to run our offense.
They waited too long IMO
