I'm guessing that Saban believes the SEC should be one of those "Super Conferences". If I was another conference, I discourage teams from scheduling SEC teams. It could easily go against the SEC - after Saban is long gone.
The payday for the less financial affluent school is the main reason they play the big names. If I was one of the lower tier conferences, I would lobby the NCAA to block FBS schools from scheduling FCS teams. Then if the bigger conferences don't want to play, we'd say thank you and take your bowl allocations because half of your conference has loosing records.
