RIP to him and as someone posted earlier he stopped posting in Mid August when he realized that spending hour after hour on this board is not living life. Live your lives ladies and Gents because in the end this place is not life. A sad thread with most saying I never knew him but blah blah blah. Live your lives because it goes fast. This should be a 15 min stop during a long day.

He had alluded to some health issues on occasion
but never in any detail. He was very proud of how his years of hard work had set up his children for success and he absolutely adored his grandchildren. A very good man and someone we should all aspire to be more like. You’re gonna be missed, NK.

I believe he might have retired early due to his illness. When covid hit, he was concerned about autoimmune disease and didn't want to leave the house. I didn’t think he wanted to talk about his illness.

One of NK’s daughters shared this on the RT. I know that many of you are also grieving so reposting here.

It is with deep sadness that I, the daughter of NorthernKnight, need to share that he passed away peacefully on September 8th.

My father loved this message board- debating Rutgers, politics and everything in between. He was a loyal son to the end and we’ll miss him greatly.

Such unexpected news. Prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends. I did notice he wasnt posting as often.

Did not know him personally though we exchanged messages. I respected NK here more than any other poster. His ability to concisely hit on the topics of the day with well thought out arguments was unmatched here. Plus he cut through alot of the ******** partisan posturing. Seemed like a guy who really valued the idea of family and would talk about his own often.. Not only a tremendous loss to our message board community but in life as well. RIP Northern Knight
