the ratings make no sense after 1 game. TCU ranked about 50 spots ahead of Team Prime.
I believe last year's record is part of the rating in the first few weeks.
Would you prefer the Boulder Brigands? So silly to refer to Deion and his players as mercenaries as that is true of every team in America…many to a greater degree of success.
RU fans I swear!
Apparently not Dabo’s Tigers! So silly to refer to Deion and his players as mercenaries as that is true of every team in America…many to a greater degree of success.

it's a starting point and how they have been doing for the last couple of years probably is factored inLast years rankings should have no impact on the start of this season. Many teams are complete overhauls.
I’m a big Army supporter and watched most of their game vs ULM. Army has significant issues transitioning from their traditional triple option attack to something more conventional, resulting from the new rules about cut blocking. OL is adjusting as is their new QB. RU D would dominate Army’s O.The Dunkel Index has Rutgers at #61 just below Army at #60 and above Liberty at #62.
Hopefully, a win over Temple will move Rutgers up closer to joining the Big Boys like Texas State, San Diego State, Navy and University of Texas at San Antonio!!!
Yes, the computer rankings this early are next to worthless.
(FWIW, it has Northwestern at #77 and Temple at #71.)
