Sage will playing against Clemson, FSU, Miami, VT, etc. Borders will be playing against significantly less talented teams. Both are great players and will rep NC right. Glad they stayed in state.

You got that right....I'm taking Jayden Borders over Sage any day. The hands, the explosiveness.....let's see who does better at the next level.
I have seen both players in person jayden is a very good receiver, sage is bigger and stronger with incredible hands, jayden may be a step faster but that all. I am not connected to either school. just using the eye test.

May be a step faster? Sage wouldn't even run the 40 at the shrine bowl combine, because he didn't want to expose his lack of speed. You never see a 40 time associated w/ his name. He wasn't even the fastest receiver on Lincolnton's team, and got away with pushing off frequently, because of his difficulties getting separation from defensive backs. However, he's a great receiver with those attributes you listed plus great route running, but he's far from a burner. Jayden would smoke him easily, however, Sage does have superior size to go along with being so fundamentally sound. You couldn't go wrong w/ either receiver. I like Sage's size and strength, I love Jayden's ability to go the distance anytime he touches the ball, that young man is a freakish athlete.

Haven't seen Borders in a couple of years and only saw Sage in this years Reidsville game (where he was pretty much contained with only 72 yds receving)....Sage is a big receiver but Borders is definitely much faster and as I remember, and a hell of an athlete...That said...wherever these 2 guys go...they will contribute...I'd take either in a New York minute..........................

I'd say Sage was about the 15th fastest player on Lincolnton's team this year, but he was definitely the best football player. Clearly deserving of his All America selection with the season/career he had. I'm sure there are better receivers out there, but not many meant to their team what Sage did. 72 champion would probably take a Shelby player over Julio Jones or OBJ. Nothing wrong with standing up for your guys, but you don't have to criticize anyone in doing so.

Impressive feat. 2 in 2. Probably have been some brothers make it and may be two in two (or three) but it would be extremely rare.

Well, he must have functional speed. Jerry Rice was not the fast receiver, either.
