before steve smith catches the ball and panthers pull out the win, you have to admire the saints coming back from 23-3 and 30-10.

Saints lost 7 games by a total of 24 points. Brees finishes 16 yds short of the record. Such is the life of the New Orleans Saints fan.

...the Saints are a likeable team. There is nothing to like about the Cowboys. The hatred started with all the "America's Team" ******** in the 70s and it hasn't gotten any better. Romo and Barber are probably the only two likeable guys on the roster.

If the Saints could have stayed somewhat healthy this year they would no doubt be in the playoffs... and would have the team to make a run at it... maybe next year

Where did you come up with this misnomer? Saints fans are like composite OM-LSU fans (drunk, brash, could barely name two of your starting offensive or defensive players, etc.) without any titles to whine about. Any, and I mean any, success the team appears to have gets instantly blown out of proportion, and more predictably, results in failure.

And even though I despise Jerry Jones, do you think Tom Benson is any better? The only thing he's smarter about is not trying to play GM himself.

So you're saying you hate Roger Staubach. You might as well say you hate America, apple pie, and little puppy dogs.

ESPECIALLY because the 31-30 with 3min left score posted seconds before Norwood ran for a 45-yard TD to break the 24-24 tie in the ATL/STL game. The Falcons were gonna win the South! First round bye!

But then the sorry Mfers let it go with less than 30s left. That's a kick in the balls.

I'll hate the the Saints with renewed vigor from here on out.

...first of all, I wasn't referring to the fans. Secondly, the Saints are likeable because of the whole underdog thing they have going for them. It has been kinda fun to see them compete the past couple of years in the wake of Katrina and everything else.

I've always had a good time with Saints fans. Of course, the nicest fans in the NFL are Packer fans. The biggest reason they're so nice is because there's a 40 year waiting list for season tickets. If there's a fight in the stadium, or even outside the stadium on gameday, the front office will find out who has those season tickets and promptly put them in back of the line. Makes for very polite fans.

Norwood's run did not break a tie. It followed a Rams' field goal and gave the Falcons a 31-27 win. The Rams led 27-24 before Norwood's run.

I have been to the Superdome to watch them play the Panthers many times. I wear Carolina stuff every time and have had a great time interacting with the Saints fans. I had a great time today as well. I swear, with blowing the lead, the shanked punt, and the kick off that rolled out of bounds, I could have sworn I was sitting in Davis Wade.

It was an even BIGGER moment than I said.
