Those guys start kicking soccer balls when they`re 2. I can`t believe there haven`t been bunch of them kicking in the league.

I agree that he probably has a damn good leg. He has a chance to be better than Dempsy, Anderson and Hartley...hopefully

There used to be quite a few Mexican kickers in the League- Efren Herrera, the Zendejas brothers, Frank Corral, Danny Villaneuva, Rafael Septien. Also, there were a couple of Nigerian kickers in the NFL as well- Obed Ariri and Donald Igwebuike.

What's happened is that the emphasis on youth soccer has trained American kids to become soccer-style kickers and there's not as much emphasis on training a foreign-born player to kick a football. (that said, I wish Meridian High would try to get more exchange students who can boom soccer balls 90-100 yards, and get them to go out for the team).
