Northside had a nice defensive front and made it tough for Salem to get running game going. However, Salem passing game took over and handled the Vikings. Northside scored on a kick off return and a fumble recovery so the Salem defense did a nice job. Thought some of the sophomores for Salem looked good--the younger-Ramsey looked very fast all night at defensive end and running back---Number 21 great punt return---I believe he is the grandson of Charlie Hammersly (a Salem high school legend). Very much a workman like win----Salem dominated the game but Northside did make it tough for the Spartans.===especially running up the middle. The defensive end for Northside that signed with Wake is the real deal. By the way Northside field needs some more or new lights---very very dark---long long shadows all over the field.

The NS DE "Boogie" did look like the real deal. When he wanted to make a play, he did. He appears to take plays off though.

Super dark field, heard complaints all around me. Home side was no better. They need a small set right behind the press box on the home side and a big set behind the stands at the 50 on the away side. They could also stand to either boost their speakers so it doesn't need to be pin drop quiet to hear them on the away side or fundraise a couple for the away side and put them up on the lights.

Salem D has played better each week and first string D has only given up 2 TDs in 3 games now. Keeping Northside's offense out of the endzone for the past 2 years is damned impressive. Unfortunately there's work to be done in other areas as that's 2 special teams TDs and 2 fumble recovery TDs given up on the year. Still haven't put together a full game yet offensively but that gives hope going down the road as Salem is still putting up loads of points without really clicking on all cylinders.

Credit to Northside as their front 7 held the rushing down pretty solid, especially in the first half. Unfortunately they just have almost nothing going for them on offense. Hardister hasn't really seemed to progress as a QB over his years there and Jackson is all they've got and even he only goes so far. If they want to make a run in December they need to find other options to catch and run the ball in a hurry.

Don't want to overlook teams but Salem should cruise through the next 4 teams(HV, CC, Bburg, Cburg) en route to the big showdown with PH.

They obviously can't afford lights. Looks like they spent all their money on the blow-up doll who's legs they run thru. Also If you look up cluster$&@$ in the dictionary there is a picture of Northside's parking lot. Their principal insists on standing on the opposing teams side line with his entourage. What a certified jerk!

Bash am is the real deal. I didn't see him take any plays off. Over committed a couple of times and ended up out of position but not because he took a play off.

Why would a principal and his people feel it necessary to stand opposing teams sideline? Never have seen that .

Because they are d%cks. It's the same reason they have the old style red picnic benches for benches for visitors (only 2 of them) and proceed to sit on them during the second half so we couldn't and the same reason they had the band and cheerleaders park the buses a mile away and have them walk to the stadium. Plain and simple CLASSLESS!

Don't forget the "with smoke" part! Yes, they have a blow up doll whose legs they run through...with smoke! I have heard that before! HAVE BEEN LAUGHING EVER SINCE! HA! HA! Go Salem!
